We walked through the petting zoo, there was horses, sheep, goats, roosters, turkeys, pigs, cows, the kids got a kick out of it. We each got a small pumpkin to paint or take home which the kids really enjoyed. They offered horse drawn rides, tractor rides, face painting, story time with mother goose & a corn maze (which was not much of a maze). It is really perfect for kids 2-10. The store offers a selection of breads, pies, jams and produce. They sell ice cream, and had cider donuts available and outside they have a small shack that sells hot dogs, chips, etc. Overall we spent about 2 hours here and really enjoyed it!

But as it turned out, if the summer stuff scored an A. the pies scored a big, fat F! Those three pies almost ruined what had, until that point, been a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. The pies weren't even baked all the way through, to the point that the bottom crust were still raw! There was hardly any fruit in the fruit pies, and the crusts of all three pies was so dry and disgusting that the slices of pie turned out to be more like tablespoons of pie. Disappointing doesn't even come close to how we all felt about the experience we lived through . . . all because three pies -- blueberry, apple, and pumpkin -- were so dreadfully bad. I will have to admit that when I saw their advertising sign on the front street that read that they were "taking orders" for Thanksgiving pies, I expected homemade pies. Instead, the pies were mass-produced off-site, definitely from a distance away judging from the phone number on the boxes, and from the fact that they looked old when we opened the boxes. We will be careful of going to Cervelli's for anything any more, especially pies, other edible things, and anything holiday-related! Be careful because what happened to us, that the word Cervelli;s no longer holds the same good feelings or confidence in quality for us, could happen to you!
