Had such horrible experience with this driving school wouldn't recommend at all. I had cold wasn't feeling well so I called to reschedule my lesson 3hrs before the lesson time. The person whom I spoke to is manager/part owner wasn't understanding at all and rude all she kept saying was to pay $25 in order to reschedule. At one point she said "your going back forth with me for $25". I even told her its not about $25 wasn't feeling well and didn't want to get the instructor sick as well she didn't care at kept saying $25 to reschedule the lesson. So I wasted my money and time calling this place. Wouldn't recommend at all. read more

HANIFA was my instructor and I will be forever grateful for her empathy , her skills and her dedication to ensure I understood everything during my lessons with her. I took my road test on Thursday and passed! Taking lessons at AD definitely helped me to feel comfortable and ease my nerves about the test. I had already been driving for a while in California with a permit but had to start over when I moved to New York. AD lessons helped me to brush up on my skills but more than anything their instruction helps with knowing what they will look for on the test. My instructor was Manpreet. My instructor who gave me lessons was great. However, I wouldn't recommend the school itself. 1. They charged me $20 fee when I called in sick the day before. I was so so sick with what was possibly the flu and did not want to spread it to the instructor. In times like this, they should've been happy I didn't expose the instructor to a virus but instead they retaliated against me. 2. The driver who took me to the drivers test, drove like a maniac. He broke multiple laws, took the car off the road, swerving into a dirt patch. He also blasted his music obnoxiously. 3. After my drivers test, they didn't even drop me home, which was in the neighborhood. Instead he dropped me off in the middle of nowhere and I had to take a lyft to get home. After speaking to people that went to other driving schools, this is unheard of. They charge $120 for the car + the test, but couldn't drive 10 more minutes to drop me home? Don't waste your money. Go to a driving school that treats you like a human. read more

First, let me start by saying this was the worst experience I have ever had with any company in my lifetime! Extremely! unprofessional, constantly cancelling my scheduled appointments. Drivers, on their cell phones or taking calls during my lessons. If, you're serious about learning how to drive, and want to pass the road test, stay away from this company, they're much better ones out there. Set up a package for 15 lessons, did not learn anything. The instructors are the worst. One instructor I had was on his phone the whole time during me lesson, made it clear he was only there for his paycheck. Another one would talk about his personal life throughout my lessons. Also the package comes with a car and a road test. Although I did not use their car and schedule a test with them they were not willing to negotiate nor pay me back the difference. Go somewhere else and save your money like Shore or Bauchu driving school. You will be glad you did! read more

AD Driving school has got to be one of the best driving schools in Queens. I scheduled my road test only 2 months after I got my driving permit. But after taking just a few classes with their package I was left knowing how to do everything and I was able to pass my road test easily. So like when I was learning to drive way back when i had a driving instructor who went MIA on me...not that i blame him I was pretty awful. I almost hit my house trying to reverse cause I put it in drive instead & then I reversed & almost caused an accident outside my driveway. Yes, you could imagine how bad I was I thought driving was like a video game the longer you hold the acceleration the faster the car will SLOWLY pick up. But anyways then I started going to this place when I needed a new driving instructor & OMG it was an amazing experience. They really worked hard With me because when I started there clearly there was like no hope for me as said above, but they didn't give up and gave me the confidence I needed to drive well and pass my road test on the first try. The front desk people are very nice but the day of my first lesson, the driver called me 10 minutes after my lesson was supposed to start and said his car didn't work and he was only able to pick me up 5 hours later. I told him no thank you because he could have called before the start of the lesson and let me know. He actually sounded as if he just woke up and was hangover. The instructors are fine when they are not being sexist. My first instructor (Brian) was super passive aggressive and condescending. When he felt comfortable he would complain of other students he taught, which makes you think, he probably talks shit about me to other students as well. My brother took a course with the same instructor I had and he told my brother that women just need more time to learn. Same thing with (I think) the owner of the place (Matthew). Only instructor I took that was worth my time was Sam. He was professional, patient, and not fucking sexist. My brother had been to a different school prior to this one, so he had prior driving experience. I had none, so naturally I would not do as well as he did on the first lesson. To compare us is not only unprofessional but super ignorant. Not every lesson made me uncomfortable. They're fine at explaining, but overall the sexism ruined all the good things I could possibly say. read more

I've tried two driving schools before this one and it was amazing. I had Brian as an instructor and I loved him. He was ALWAYS on time or a little early which I appreciate so much. Also, before signing up I was super hesitant because I had bad experiences with schools before. WhenI called I spoke with the sweetest, kindest woman, Debbie. I know I had a lot of questions and concerns that most would have gotten annoyed with but she was patient and thoughtful in her responses. She agreed to let me try with one lesson first and then decide. Everytime I called she was always kind, a perpetual friendliness to her voice. I was only nervous the week before my test because there was a new woman at the front. I'm not sure what her name was but she has a bit of an attitude and rescheduled my lesson the day of the test which I didn't appreciate. But Debbie returned shortly after so all's well again! The day of the test I didn't have Brian. Matthew was the one to give me my lesson and take me to the test site. At first I was unsure about this, but this was super helpful! Matthew has a different style of teaching than Brian but its successful. He gave me some last minute tips and would softly pump his fist and say yes when I parked perfectly or did something well. Talk about being invested in your student. Right before the test he pulled us over and went through everything that would happen step by step so I knew exactly what to expect. This is comforting for people (like me) who let their nerves get the better of them. I passed the test on my first try with them, second try in general. They're an amazing school with competitive prices and amazing customer service. If you're deciding between them and another school in the neighborhood, I would urge you to use them. read more

I have to thank AD Driving School for the quality instruction that helped me in passing the road test. I have two brothers and they also learned how to drive with AD driving school. The owner, Mr. Mustafa is very professional and cares for the success and well-being of his clients. His secretary, Debbie, is very organized and professional as well. It's definitely the best school within the neighborhood. My instructors were friendly, punctual, and precise. I was a VERY nervous driver and Mr. Mustafa and the instructors helped me gain confidence. I personally didn't need it, but I believe most of their instructors also speak other languages that are prominent in the area. Their dual brake cars are in great shape. While the prices are the same as they are for other neighborhood schools, I find the professionalism and genuine care to be unmatched. I highly recommend them to anybody! read more

Would HIGHLY recommend! I passed my road test at the age of 16 on the first try! I had no prior driving experience but I felt significantly more comfortable only a few lessons in. The instructors are super friendly and work with you to target your areas of weakness. The day of the road test I was picked up by an instructor and taken to the site. No stars. Made an appointment week in advance for the defense driving class. Got there and they said there was no class. When asked why I wasn't notified the class was cancelled. No answer. I had .y sister call early that morning to see if the class had room to take her. They told me the class was full when clearly when u got there it wasn't. Never will use then again. read more
