I did receive a refund for my unused portions of the package I paid for. I enrolled as a complete beginner and made that very clear from the start. Instead of receiving patient instruction, I experienced an instructor (Michael) who became frustrated with beginner mistakes and raised his voice during lessons. It was also extremely fast paced for a 20 lesson full package deal. On my third day I was being taught a 3 point turn and parallel parking when I was not comfortable turning onto roads and being centered on roads. There were also communication and scheduling issues. On one occasion, I arrived for what I believed was my scheduled lesson, only to find out the time had been changed without any phone call, email, or text notification. Despite the instructor being available, I spent approximately 40 minutes sitting in the vehicle while he stopped at McDonald's and handled personal matters rather than conducting the lesson. During multiple lessons, the instructor took lengthy personal phone calls while I was in the car, including highly personal conversations that contained inappropriate language. As a student learning to drive for the first time, I expected my instructor's full attention and professionalism, not distractions and personal matters. What ultimately made me decide to leave was being told after only three lessons that my remaining lessons and road test had been canceled because I was allegedly "too nervous." I had attended every lesson, was eager to learn, and had only just begun driving. Although I was offered another instructor, by that point I had lost confidence in the school's professionalism and chose to seek instruction elsewhere. Additionally, while waiting for one of my lessons, I overheard another student discussing a negative experience he had with an instructor named Frank. Under normal circumstances I would not place much weight on another student's experience alone. However, after everything I had personally experienced, hearing another student express similar frustrations further reduced my confidence in the school as a whole. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this driving school.

I had a lovely gentlemen named Anthony. He was very nice and informative and really wants everyone to succeed and be safe on the road. The main problem I had was with the actual driving lessons. They DO NOT pick you up so I had to get someone to drive me and pick me up all the way out there just for an hour and a half lesson (I live near JFK airport). I told the driving instructor that I had lots of previous experience and mainly just needed help with parallel parking and the K turn. The driving instructor was looking at his phone maybe a third to half of my entire lesson. During my first K turn he was talking on the phone and pointing at me which way to turn the wheel instead of verbally telling me what to do. It was very distracting when I have to look at him instead of focusing on the road and not hitting the curb. At another point he was telling me to "Drive drive drive!" because I wasn't cutting into traffic and speeding up to go around a double parked truck that was maybe 5 blocks away. I was going the speed limit and did not know which direction we were headed and didn't want to change lanes yet without the instructors guidance. I would not recommend this school for driving lessons at all. It's not in a very safe area of Queens and my instructor was just an all around jerk and I don't feel like he helped my parallel parking at all. I never got his name but he was an older gentlemen with an accent. Only reason why I gave this location 2 stars instead of 1 was because Anthony's 5hr class was great. I guess in the end, you get what you pay for.

I recently got into an accident that shook me up and so I signed up for lessons again to build my confidence back up and he made me feel better after just one lesson and didn't try to scam me into taking more. He's also really professional and diligent. He's always on time or slightly early for lessons, he never loses his cool, he prompt to respond to scheduling requests, and he makes sure you're comfortable on the road. He genuinely cares about who he's teaching and making sure they know what they're doing and he will doesn't care for instructors who don't feel the same way. An hour before the first lesson , Moses called my son and told him he was running behind and my son should meet him at the driving school. My son has a learners permit and cannot drive unless he is with a license driver. How was he supposed to get to the driving school? The bus? pay a Uber to come to the driving school for a lesson ! Her instructor, Steve, was absolutely wonderful, patient, kind, and supportive throughout the entire process. We had a small hiccup along the way, but the receptionist (I wish I remembered her name!) handled it quickly and resolved everything in no time.
