Refused to give me any more info) I had an appointment back in June, they called me to let me know that my Medicaid wouldn't cover the work I needed done, and that it resets in August. And to reschedule for after that. So I waited, and then called today to try and schedule an appointment, Jen, with an incredibly rude tone told me I'm "dismissed from the clinic due to a no call no show in June" and then while she was explaining about the policy, I tried to tell her that didn't apply to me, because I did speak with someone, and was told to reschedule after August. She cut me off immediately and told me to "stop talking, I haven't finished my sentence yet." I was shocked at how rude she was. So I asked for a manager. She said "I am the manager" so I asked for the owner. She said "there's nobody above me" and hung up on me. Admittedly I was pretty taken aback and upset with how I was being treated. I called back and she just said "you're dismissed from this office" and hung up on me again. I never write reviews, or complain about anything. I know things are hard for people, I've been in those roles before and it's hard to deal with people all day. Idk if she was just having an awful day or something, but she had zero excuse to ever talk to somebody like that, especially not a customer/patient. At this point I probably would not want to go back to an office that treats people that way, but I would like to speak to the actual manager or owner and discuss. Their actual dental work from the dentist was pretty decent from my last time there, and service was okay then too. So idk if it's a new person or she just wasn't there last time. But she needs a serious sit down with management. I would never in a million years allow an employee representing my company to treat anyone that way. I've had bad teeth all my life and the last few years spending thousands was just a band aid. I don't take spending this kind of money lightly. The money and technology have changed for the best over the years. When I decided to pull the trigger, I spoke with 4 other businesses that do this. Mostly the same stuff until I spoke with Dr. Stott and Smile Now. He spoke in more detail I could understand and the overall professionalism was more to my liking. I went with Smile Now! After careful consideration I went with '6 on 1'. 6 post per arch, both arches. Last week, went in for the pre stuff, x-rays, pictures, measurements, etc. a few days ago. Sorry, but I don't remember their names. This morning (9/2) was the big day! Arrived at 7:15 to see Kensy's smiling face, then to Holly, the anesthesiologist. Again, great experience! I few hours later I woke up toothless with posts installed, a bit of swelling and not the pain I was expecting. Layed there for hour or so until i was a bit more with it. Kensy came in to explain what was gonna happen next. Dr. Stott came in to place healing teeth. i couldn't believe it! The healing teeth were almost perfect with very little adjustment needed, One of my main concerns, we've all seen em, fake teeth that in no way natural. Not the case here. They took another x-ray and i was on my way. Now, 6 hours later, a bit of pain, minimal swelling and no bruising. I picked up meds yesterday and followed directions. I'm looking forward to the next few weeks and months. Yep! Long post but I believe there are many in my same boat, apprehensive for many of my same reasons for delay. What a long road this has been! I started looking to have implants done a little over 6 years ago…read more In that time I probably visited over 40 dentists!! Every time I felt like I was speaking to a used car salesman who really didn't care about me, but how much money they could extract from my pocket. I'm a realist, I know implants are expensive; however, I wanted a fair value for what I was spending. I happened upon Smile Now the beginning of this year and I am blessed that I did. They offered a state-of-the-art procedure at a fair, market price. One of the top points on my list was that I wanted a price "all inclusive" for the procedure. Amazingly enough, of the 40 dentists I visited, they were the first to offer this. Second, most were offering an arch on 2 implants, they do an arch on 5 or more. I often wondered how 2 implants could even support an arch when trying to eat. The physics don't add up. My smile not only looks great, but I feel as if I could literally chew steel if needed. Dr. Caleb and Dr. Ryan are very professional and personable. If I could picture in my mind what I wanted in a dentist(s) they are that. Their professionalism and attitude transcends to their staff. They have a great group. In closing, I couldn't be happier with my decision. When I got home and reflected on this 7 year journey I have been on I nearly cried. To experience so much frustration and to end up with what I feel is the best result I could have achieved....priceless. I've had one visit and the people were very friendly. The front desk and getting checked in was a very good experience and she was quite lovely. I felt I got good care although I felt I did need to advocate for myself on a few minor things. I didn't want them polishing my teeth before the hygienist had completed her scaling. It is not a good practice to polish teeth before all the plaque has been removed. They have quite a few staff members that do different things. They have two hygienist and then they have assistance that do the polishing. You can request having one person do the scaling and the polishing, but they can only accommodate that on certain days due to the lack of staffing?? So for my next visit, I will have one person do it all. They were quite accommodating. I think I'm scheduled with a different dentist for my next visit. I think I will see her and see how I like her. She is newer in her career, but I feel I might like to give her a shot. The jury is still out for me. I'll update in 6 months.
