Our PM hired Vick's Home Repair for a full interior paint job and popcorn ceiling removal. The…read moretotal cost of the project was $23,000. Several significant issues arose during and after completion: No primer was used in areas where it was necessary, resulting in peeling paint (immediately). Multiple paint lines were sloppy and inconsistent. Four full doors that were included in the scope and paid for were not painted at all. The kitchen ceiling was completely missed as well. When the team returned to address some of the issues, the doors and kitchen ceiling were still missed! They painted over existing paint without sanding or priming. Peeling continued. One door had a visible handprint embedded in the dried paint. The contractor acknowledged the issues. Although he offered to return and redo the work, the initial correction attempt did not resolve the issues, and the workmanship raised concerns about quality control. We went to several contractors to get quotes on fixing or just doing the missed work, and it was a few thousand dollars. Vick offered a $670 refund, which would not have covered even one set of French doors that had been paid for, but not painted. As a result, we hired another professional to repaint several doors that had been improperly completed, paint the doors that were not painted at all, repaint the kitchen ceiling, and correct peeling on multiple interior doors and walls. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Vick's Home Repair.

Then, at 2:30pm Estik's partner showed up, not even able to speak one word to me. I asked, "What happened to you?" And he called Estik, then spoke into his translator App. and Estik typed into the phone message that he was on another job in Tennessee and his car broke down. I told him I didn't want them to come back because alot of what they did has to be done over. Then later around 3:30pm Estik showed up at my door and asked my to take down the review. Then he was confused about a payment he received from another client and said he didn't want to double charge me. I told him that his $500.00 deposit cleared and the $250.00 cash payment that he asked me for on the first day was processed. He offered to give my money back if I take down the review. On the first day he was here I typed my name and phone number into his phone and he obviously deleted it and blocked me because he asked me again what my name was and for my phone number. One last thing, he left a pile of paint pieces on the floor next to the water heater. I didn't notice until my puppy came to me with pieces of it in his mouth! I was upset and tried to return the paint to Sherwin Williams because they gave me the wrong shade of green. While online I was venting to the person next to me and the worker at the counter overheard my conversation and accused me of being "racist" and refused to help me. In conclusion, Estik showed very poor judgement and a lack of respect. I have never had anyone ask me for cash in advance, abandon the job and leave everything a mess!!!!
