I was told that there was another hose that needed to be replaced because it wasn't up to code. I was charged $700 for the replacement hose. The problem was not resolved, and when I called back to inform the plumber that the washing machine was still leaking, I was told to call an appliance tech because they don't repair washing machines. The plumber refused to refund me my money after I had explained that the leak had not been fixed, and the job was not resolved. Now I have to spend more money to have an appliance tech come out and assess the problem, and pay for any repairs. I was taken advantage of, for sure!

We recently hired this company to paint our deck. Steve showed up and was very personable and came…read moreacross like he knew what he was doing. He quoted a reasonable price and we hired him. I regret it. Our deck looks terrible. We asked him to sand it down and paint it. He sanded it on a drizzly day- which was a red flag #1. He then used a sprayer on a day that was super windy- causing overspray to go on my plants and surrounding mulch. He got paint on our outdoor solar lights and didn't use any type of paint thinner to get it off- simply said- yeah the sun baked that in. He added $100 to the cost of the job saying he needed extra paint for another coat yet there are spots where he only did one coat and we still have 3/4 of a gallon of paint left!!!! He replaced two spindles with ones that were 4 inches two short- so while they worked to fill in the gap between the base and railing they were not even with the rest of them. When I called him on it he said that was the only size they had!?!? Why he didn't order the right size and advise us that there might be a delay is beyond me. He also managed to get paint on our light fixtures. On the final day of his work he said he was done and one side of the spindles on a 1/3 of the porch hadn't even been painted. We had to call him back 2x more and finally got so frustrated we just told him he could leave and it was fine. Worst part is the paint is already bubbling and it's been only been 3 days since he finished. Never offered any discount.
