I worked with Lisa both by phone and email to schedule a timely and convenient appointment. Electrician/Tech Jim arrived on time and after looking at my problem, decided replacing the burnt solenoid in my transfer switch was not the ultimate fix - the actual assembly was at issue. He called the office and I followed up with Lisa to order the needed part. Upon receipt of the part, Jim was rescheduled and again was on time. He replaced the assembly, tested the generator to ensure it did indeed take and transfer the load as designed. I did not need to pay at the end of his visit - but was billed ~ a week later. I can NOT stress enough how easy it was to work with C&T Electric from first contact and throughout the entire process. Kudos to Lisa and Jim - friendly, professional and very competent. Highly recommended - A+

    I used C & T Electric for over 17 years for servicing my generator. I spent over $5000 on service…read moreover that time and had been happy with the service. I paid $250 for routine service in mid June 2020. I asked the tech how much life I had left in this generator and was told it was burning and leaking a little oil but that I still had several more years. In Aug 2020 we had a storm and we lost power and auto Generac generator came on but was heavily smoking. Contacted C & T and they told me to turn off and tried to troubleshoot over phone to no avail. We left off that they would come out to evaluate the next day. They next day as we had no power and no water - never heard from them. I called and was told they were swamped didn't know when they could help. I called later in day and was told that my generator was "shot" and it wasn't worth their time to come out. After taking my money for 17 yrs and even 6 weeks earlier - they left me stranded. Didn't even take a look. They left me without power and water for 5 days until power came back on. I contacted another generator company who found a problem (that they said was likely present for months ) - including when C & T took my $ for service and likely missed it 6 weeks earlier. I replaced the generator with another company ( if C & T had responded I likely would have stayed with them) They left me stranded and basically told me tough s--t its not worth our time to come out. I would not use them and recommend others look to other companies for service and purchasing a generator!!

He also assessed some water damage in my basement and gave some advice that may have saved me lots of money. These two gentlemen educated me about what was being done in terms I could understand.     I had not been having a good day up until the phone call I placed with Bill at Advanced Concepts…read moreElectrical. In just a few seconds, my day went from being "blah" to being "better than I expected"! Long story short: my new slide-in electric range could not be installed by the appliance delivery folks because my old drop-in stove had been hard-wired and, according to the delivery folks, such hard-wiring is now a building code violation. I spoke with the salesperson at the appliance store who (believe it or not) told me to call a plumber (?) because plumbers also do electrical work. A quick search on the Internet did not uncover any plumbers who also advertised themselves to be electricians. The family of a friend of mine from church is in the electrical business, so I called them. They did not answer their phone and I did not receive any recording to leave a message. An Internet search of electricians in the Greater Hartford area provided a slew of results. Bill, at Advanced Concepts Electrical, only had one review on Yelp (but it was a good one). I took a chance and called Bill's phone number. He actually answered the phone and said he was shopping at The Home Depot for suppies he needed for tomorrow's job. He had planned to go home after getting his supplies, but said that he could stop by TODAY (!) to take a look at my electrical problem. He showed up at my house within the time frame he mentioned during our phone conversation. He said he could fix my problem (and proceeded to start doing so within 10 minutes of arriving at my house). My problem wasn't a big one and I just happened to call him at the right time (and I happen to live not far from The Home Depot where he was shopping). Everything came together for my benefit this afternoon and, today, Bill served as my Guardian Angel. I can now cook again! When was the last time you admired a trades person? Call Bill with your electrical issues; he'll earn your admiration in no time flat!
