The heating barely worked, the sink did not drain properly, WiFi did not work, and the shower would turn on with very little water pressure and then not ever turn off again. We complained to front desk immediately, we were then told we could not be moved until the manager came in in the morning. When he finally came to tell us he could move is we had booked at a better place down the road. We then attempted to get a refund on the bights we did not stay there and the management refused. When I said I will then have to write a review on my experience he responded with this email and then blocked me from responding. Don't waste your money!! From the manager: "I really do not see the point in responding to you to any significant degree. Clearly blackmail is the 'norm' for you and if you feel you need to spend your life as a 'keyboard warrior' writing 'multiple negative reviews', there is not much more I can say that is likely to make any difference - anyone who stoops to the vile level of blackmail is really not worth engaging with as they are very unfortunate individuals - in truth, criminals! In any event, I have forwarded your threats to our account managers at the various review sites who take threats of blackmail extremely seriously. "

Look out for the grilled breast of chicken with haggis and a pepper sauce: spicy and very tasty! The hotel is a little disappointing and seems to be in the middle of a slow refurbishment. The rooms are of varying quality with, tired furnishings, faulty windows and occasionally dodgy plumbing. On the plus side most of the rooms are a good size, and they have replaced the old TVs with modern LCD ones with Freeview. Overall recommended, especially for value and the helpful & friendly staff.
