Her improvement over her time with Kai has been remarkable. We've noticed it at home, teachers have noticed it at school, and her updated neuropsych evaluation confirmed it. She was very highly recommended by our special ed, advocate for her experience working with autistic children. For my child, Kai's strength has been her work on social communication and language usage. For example, Kai is teaching my child how to make longer complex sentences, how to sequence and organize his thoughts, and how to make age-appropriate descriptions. Kai has successfully worked with my child on pronunciation too - my child has learned how to say certain forms of  "l", "r" and "th" that he could not do before. Kai also discusses with my child why learning these different parts of speech and language are essential. She listens to my child and fosters a back and forth dialogue. At the beginning of the pandemic, Kai seamlessly pivoted to virtual learning over Zoom. Kai is always well prepared for her sessions and is very good at communicating with parents. When I first started seeing Emily, she helped me identify exactly which types of R sounds I was struggling with. She was very helpful in providing me exercises to do in between sessions and recording practice audio for me to use while driving to work. The pacing was great and helped me train myself to pronounce the sounds correctly without having to think about it. I made a before and after recording of myself and the improvement was massive! I had both a mix of in-person and online sessions and they were both equally good. She was very flexible with my schedule as well! Working with Trevor and Yash for MCAT coaching was an amazing experience. Whenever I had questions…read moreabout a certain topic/problem, adjusting my study schedule, or being overly neurotic about my progress, Yash was always just a text or call away to reassure me and answer my questions. For example, in the last few weeks of studying my AAMC full length scores progressed from a 516 to 519 to 516 to 513. The trend from a 519 to 513 definitely made me anxious, and it felt like I was hitting a slump in my studying. However, Yash was quick to let me know that full length scores aren't static, reassuring me that I'm scoring within the expected standard deviation around my average of 516. He told me that each full length is different in difficulty, advising me to take an extra day off each week to refocus myself and really hone in on why I might've got more questions wrong. This definitely helped clear my mind and I actually began to feel grateful for scoring a 513, because I was able to identify gaps in my content/test taking strategies that I didn't even know I had. Subsequently, my scores on the last two AAMC full lengths went back up from a 514 to 518! At the end of my studying, I felt satisfied that I've done everything I could to prepare for this test, and that no matter what happened on test day, I was confident in getting a score that would give me a good shot at an acceptance to medical school. Overall, I don't think I would've made it as far as I did without his support--Yash has been an amazing coach!

I spent over 1000 on tutoring services from him and they did not help me at all. Trevor was very hard to talk to, no small talk at all ever, so you feel like complete strangers the entire time. I felt awkward during our sessions and as if I was bothering him. I chose him from all of the good reviews he had, but ended up having the exact opposite experience... so wanted to warn you all.
