We had to recently move twice in the last 6 months and these guys were nothing compared to our last company. They poorly packaged our items into the truck and had to make a second trip! My husband left after them coming to the new place and they were an extra 30 minutes delayed. I thought they may have gotten lost but when they arrived they said they "stopped to get a slice of pizza" on our dime! We could have purchased many pizzas for less than the $125 delay... My husband and I did everything possible to organize our items neatly and take as much as we could to the new place and they were still unable to do it in one trip. Our last company had the same size truck and more items and were able to make it fit. I would give 1 star but the 2 men who actually moved our things were decent enough. However many of our items got damaged with little to no regard or apology. We had wooden decorated couches that were placed face down on the cement floor and got completely scratched. Feet from our couch and tv stand were damaged. Also after they came back from their second trip they placed everything in the garage despite there being no garage access through the house and me being pregnant. So my husband will have to move all those items by himself to the basement and now we cannot park our car in the garage. I had asked them to move a BBQ out front (again because I'm pregnant and cannot help my husband lift anything heavy) and they did not. All in all it took a very long time for a short/ well organized move and then at the end they rushed it. I think most of all I was disappointed that I moved more items as a 6 month pregnant woman than the 3rd hired man did for our move. Would not recommend.

They wrapped everything that needed it, moved everything quickly and without any damage to any of our belongings. The crew was professional and positive. Moving can be an extremely stressful experience and these guys made it a breeze. Would highly recommend. Worth every penny.

I engaged Darren Smith to move and store my belongings in June of 2024, at 205 Church Street,…read moreKeswick, where they remained until @ November 14 2024, where I had my items moved by Darren 's team to a proper storage facility, Green Storage, also in Keswick. Darrens' "storage" I learned was located in the dingy, ratty (literally) basement of a rental property at 205 Church. Upon examining my items at Green Storage, I discovered scuff and chew marks to family antiques, and wooden furniture, my Grandad's desk missing parts, broken boxes, and an expensive custom-made "Star Wars" toy was missing, but it's empty delivery box remained. Every box that didn't have a lid, has rat turds in it. The lid of one box that was secure with dry foods came off during their handling, and rats got into that ruining all kinds of kitchen gear. The stolen item was absolutely with my other belongings, and as it was a very much wanted collectible, I noticed it missing immediately. I mentioned this to Darren, and made it clear I did not want to blame him personally, as our family has been using his services for some time, and they have always been courteous, and efficient. However, when he offered to store my items in June, I assumed his was a proper secure facility, as one finds at Green Storage. I spoke with Darren like a gentleman for some kind of compensation, and he said that he had no control over this building, even though he was renting it and under his control. That said, he stated he might be getting a refund from his landlord in January, upon which he would forward me a refund for one of the months I paid storage fees (@$200). Texts to him beginning in mid-January were ignored, and he has made no attempt to contact me. He is ultimately "responsible" for my item being stolen and my stuff damaged, or ruined. Someone in his crew has sticky fingers is the only conclusion. Keep that in mind before you decide on this crew.

Nice moving crew who work efficiently. However, estimation & billing practices are very…read morequestionable. Provided in-person estimation walk-through, but failed to get everything on their 40ft trailer. Left a garage full of belongings for us to deal with. We then had to make 1 utility trailer run and rent our own 14ft truck to move the remaining, adding another 10% cost and major stress and aggravation, essentially defeating the purpose of hiring movers. No apologies offered. After failing to move about 15% of our household, the final billing came in 25% over-estimation, no calculation detail provided as requested. Out-of-town charges came in 53% over-estimation, without explanations, as requested. Clearly not equipped to move bigger 4 bedroom households. Regretfully,not recommending.

I can remember every move and every company that moved us and I can honestly say without a doubt that Zippy was by far the best moving service I've ever experienced. The crew that moved us all had experience and very customer service oriented, they went above and beyond trying to make us comfortable and taking care of our stuff.
