If I could give them zero stars, I would. This bank acquired my credit union and the merger was horrendous. All new account numbers and debit cards were needed, but they didn't even send me my debit card until AFTER THE SWITCH. They forced a switch over at the start of the month, which is when our largest transactions are taken out (Mortgage, car payments, etc). These were all delayed and there was no record of if it was even paid. The new system had ZERO TRANSACTION HISTORY. During this time, the delayed withdrawals and deposits caused a slight overdraft, they charged 35$ and refused to reimburse. Since the Envision bank conversion 03/01/2026. It has been the worst just to get my direct deposits timely posted to my account. This has resulted in late fees that they do not reimburse. I feel badly for the workers as there is now a high volume of calls, all dealing with a poor transition to a credit union that did not deliver on it promise to be a seamless transition. Beware: (1) They don't tell you that the yearly "free" checks cost $11.93 for shipping. (I explcitly asked the teller if the checks were still free; the answer was technically correct, I guess, but ... .). (2) I lost more than a hundred dollars over thirteen years because they withdrew from my savings account something like $2/month for life insurance that I hadn't requested. Since I didn't use my savings account for any transations other than deposits, I didn't check my statements. They couldn't produce any evidence that I'd requested the insurance (I NEVER buy life insurance), but because the credit union had changed hands, they wouldn't do anything. read more

Thought I was getting a car loan, turned out the dealer got me into a credit union I don't want to be part of and must have a savings account with them as well. Also, have to keep the savings account active or there's a $15 fee per month ($180 per year) if it goes inactive. The only way to keep it active at the minimum: put more money into it. But they were both very rude and would recommend getting rid of these two individuals. I have been banking with this institution since 2006 and these two individuals could not verify me but when I called again I was very well assisted and verified. After almost 15 years, I closed my account. They were nothing but difficult. I almost lost my house (we had put in an offer and needed money for closing) because they wouldn't allow me to wire the money to the lender (because I followed their procedures). Stress upon stress is all that they have offered over the last two years. After charging me three overdraft fees in one week (only one was legitimately owed), I shut it down. When I joined this credit union bank it was formally known as UCF Federal Credit Union 1994-2012 & then CFE Federal Credit Union took over the bank in 2013. During 2019, the bank was sold to Addition Financial and the banking has become substantually more challenging. They say nothing has changed & they're still a credit union. Based on my experiences bet Jan. 2019-June 2019, I'm not so sure it's still a credit union. Firstly, credit union is missing fm the banks new name. They are trying to implement new policies that conflict with Intact contracts & Fed guidelines. For example, escrow payments cannot exceed the actual escrow amts by more than $50. Not only did they exceed the amt, but they increased my mortg by $100/mo even though I decreased my hm insur by $500/yr. I sent them the refund ck, & they still increased my escrow. They wont let me prepay my mortg by 6 mo as I have for the pass 7 yrs. They dir you to a call center that is quite unhelpful. They always say they will have to call you back & you are on hold for long periods of time. It took me a week to resolve these 2 simple basic math issues. The bank employees look so stress & tired. Something has definitely changed. There are fewer employees. Hence short staffed. Did they think we wd not notice? 1. Prop taxes + hm insur ÷ 12 = escrow 2. 8 mo of adv mortg doea not = 8 mo. of late payments Bank Visit - Mortgage: I was not satisfied with the service I received today. I have been banking with CFE (now Additions) for a little over 6 years and have been incredibly pleased with CFE service. This is my first time needed service under their new name and ownership and I was very happy with the service rec'd. I needed a quick notary for a work document and I signed in and was served almost immediately. It turns out I didn't actually need the document notarized but if I did, it was no cost to members, which is fantastic and good to know should I need this service in the near future. read more

They secured my used car loan very quickly at the dealership. An error occurred with a typo in my name, which I didn't know. I couldn't log into my online account to make a payment, not knowing my name was spelt wrong on their end. I called and they put in a ticket to remedy the situation. That never happened so I called again. By now the payment was late and I owed a pretty good sized late fee. I called again and finally got my name changed by sending in a copy of my drivers license as proof of the correct spelling. Ironically, they misspelled it again. I called again and sent my drivers license again. Now we got it right! I still owed the late fee and asked them to remove it since this was an error on their part. The manager dug in his heels and refused. Give this guy a raise because is not concerned with customer satisfaction but rather the stockholders payouts. I don't tell or argue with people because I respect myself. I can afford a late fee but it's the principle of a business taking ownership of a mistake and not making a customer pay for it. 3 stars because of lack of ownership on their error and a website that's not easily navigated for car payments but I'm able to set up automatic payments, which is nice. read more

STRONGLY urge you NOT to do business with this bank...especially TEACHERS who don't make enough money or have enough time to deal with their subpar service. I was told by their employee that I had a 15 day grace period to make my credit card payment, so, I didn't need to panic if I made a payment after the due date. The person I spoke with could not take my payment at the time because their system did not allow her and that I would have to call another phone number. I called the other phone number and they could not take my payment, either, because they were closed. Over several days, I attempted other times to make a payment over the phone, only to be confronted with them putting up obstacle after obstacle. This bank uses an outside card server, TSCU, to track and process credit card payments and this results in the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. When you call in, the bank employee is poorly trained and misinforms the customer (many of us are teachers) which results in a late payment fee and a ding to one's credit report. A person should be able to process a payment over the phone, easily. That's not the case with this bank. When you finally get ahold of someone at the right time, they'll take your payment, charge you $8.00 and won't give you a confirmation number, leaving you with the uncomfortable feeling that your payment won't post right away. When you go in online to your account, the payment does not show up. They use antiquated systems that don't integrate and communicate together and this results in the customer having to pay late fees. Gotcha! is the name of their game. I find that just about every time I speak to an employee, they are robotic, limited in information, incorrect with their information and simply don't care. When I spoke with the Manager of the Contact Center about my issues, I was met with dead silences several times throughout the conversation. They just don't care. Take your business else where. There are better banks with better processes and systems in place and are more caring towards their customers. I don't trust a bank that places clever obstacles in front of customers who try to make payments. I also don't trust banks that have disjointed computer systems resulting in "gotcha" late payments and dings to credit reports. read more

Poor customer service. I've been banking with them since I was a kid and they were CFECU. I'm nearing 40 now, and have seen their customer service take a nosedive with their name change. They claimed they were still a credit union, and nothing was going to change except the name, but my experience with them has not been a positive one. Inconsistent policies across the branches and even within the same branch. The call center is unable to answer questions, and you have to wait for multiple calls back before you can speak to someone who will inevitably tell you the opposite of what you were previously told over the phone. All this after waiting for a representative for more than a half hour. I'm over it. I'm going to move my money to a different financial institution. read more

We were victims of fraud with our savings account, someone got our MICR number somehow (no one at Addition has any explanation for how that happened despite the fact that we have never used it for anything), and they refuse to help us get all of our money back. We were never notified about any fraudulent activity when our account started being drained and the manager at the Lake Mary branch was not even remotely nice about any of this. She basically sat there and blamed us for not looking at a SAVINGS account that was supposed to just be safely holding our money frequently enough and literally asked why they should do anything to help in terms of reaching out to PayPal to help get our money back. I am so disgusted with Addition Financial. Do not recommend, your money will get wired out of your account and they will not care to help get it back. read more

When I saw that the bank withdrew $5 from two of my accounts, I called to ask them to refund it. They said they could not. The office on Rinehart rd. in Lake Mary FL is awful. The service is terrible, the people present themselves as if they don't want to be there starting with the teller to the banker. I've been here multiple occasions. Today's visit was going to give new business for investment accounts and I walked away with none of my questions answered not even general questions headed straight to Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Hopefully I will be worth their time. I have a savings account and auto loan with CFE. Austin was training a new hire & forgot to give me account and routing information that I asked for, he never greeted me, or looked me in the eye, or gave me a straight answer. A different banker gave me a pamphlet while I waited but the organization is terrible, and my interaction with Austin was foul. It may be that I'm african American and young. He didn't care what I came in for and ultimately he lost business as a result and I truly want to leave this bank. Each occurrence is like this and it's insulting. I bought a car 6 weeks ago and the dealer told me my payment would be due July 25th. It is July 18th and I have not received any payment information. I called CFE and all they could tell me was that they did not have the payment info ready, how much the payment would be and the date it is due. ALL of which I already knew. So zero help, none, nada. And because they do not have it ready I would not be able to make an online payment and would have to come in to make a payment. Who goes into a bank anymore? Smh. We were with this bank for 25 years. It was CFE when we started our business. As soon as addition financial took over we noticed a huge customer service change for the worse. They outsourced all phone calls to a call center and made it impossible to call the branch directly. The only thing the call center could do is take down questions and forward them to a branch representative. This lead to being placed in a wait list for 24 hors. It became impossible to talk to anyone that could help us without visiting the branch. We moved out of state so this was not an option. They became extremely irresponsive. I was actually told that in order to get a new debit card my current card would need to be canceled and I would have to wait 2 weeks for the new card to arrive!!! I had to spend 1 hour on the phone complaining until they agreed to send me one without cancelling my current debit card until it arrived. Avoid this place at all costs. They will put your payroll checks on hold and not release them until you call repeatedly for days. Go anywhere else. Avoid this place like the plague! read more

My experience with AdditionFi has been disappointing and I am disgusted by the representatives' customer service. I have been with them since 2015 and I find it disrespectful that when I requested to speak with a supervisor IN A VERY CALM DEMEANOR (emphasis on VERY), I am told that she is with another customer, then when I stated that I will hold, I am told we have other customers to speak with and she can't talk to you right now. What establishment or organization dismisses a customer's request to speak with a supervisor and doesn't even have the courtesy to offer a call back? I had a small situation that a customer service rep was not able to resolve so I requested in a very kind manner to speak with a supervisor, I am told my request cannot be completed and I can't stay on hold to speak with the supervisor because it's an "inbound call center." Then when I finally get to speak with a supervisor, she gets on the phone angry. Didn't listen to what I had to say and interrupted me within 15 seconds with what she had to say yelling. I stopped her immediately and asked her why is she yelling? Don't use that tone when I'm not yelling. I am simply trying to explain my situation and how I was treated by the last rep. She apologized immediately and I told her I feel disrespected, and like I'm unimportant because you didn't even hear my concerns. The supervisor told me "it is very busy" and she can't get to every call and may not be able to call customers back. If AdditionFi does not have enough employees to answer calls or if they have overwhelmed and undertrained supervisors, they should invest some of the fees they collect into better training and hiring more staff. I don't know if things have changed since the name change from CFE to AdditionFi but this was one of the poorest customer service I've ever experienced and I'm highly disappointed. read more

Well then I said, why delete the middle name or use the initial? That would make far more sense than spelling it wrong, no? Again, many days later, no go screw yourself essentially. Just a warning for anyone thinking of doing business with CFE credit union. I had been a member for over 10 years when I experienced check fraud. Someone created fake checks with my account numbers on them. It was a different name, different address, and the checks even said "Bank of America" on them! CFE cashed them anyway. I am thinking, no problem, it is obviously fraud and I can get my money instantly back, right? I am afraid not. First off, I had to fill out a multi page paper based "fraud packet". Next step, I had to get a police report. Not CFE, me, I had to get a police report! Then after I turned in the paperwork, I was told I would get my money back in 7-10 business days! It took well over a month for me to get my money back, the money they shouldn't have given away to begin with. As soon as I got my money back, I closed my checking account and went else where. I still had my CFE VISA card with a zero balance just to help my credit score. This month someone made a fraudulent charge on my card. This happens occasionally with some of my other cards, no big deal, right? Wrong again. Before I can get this money back, I need to fill out another paper based fraud packet! I have promptly canceled the card and will do no further business with a company that such pathetic customer service. read more

While the interest rate on savings is better than banks, I have had problems with the online bill payer feature. I discovered that a payee posted a payment late a month ago, to which they investigated and paid the late fee. They guarantee 100% on-time payments, and I have complied with the requirements, but they have not yet contacted me to advise of the resolution to my three late accounts THIS month, through no fault of my own. I have had to initiate calls to them three times to find out the status of these payments. I cannot give any positive feedback to their handling this issue. The slightly better savings interest rate is significantly offset by the hassle of fixing their problems, not to mention the potential damage to my credit rating. I will be moving my accounts elsewhere. read more
