This review is from the point of view of an American traveler. First things first, call and make sure they're there. Don't trust internet times because that can change depending on the time of year. The tasting room, is the porch area of the house with a long communal table. You'll get to sample the preserves (sweet potato, persimmon, and lemon) and then a variety of wines and grapa that they produce. From other reviews it may cost money to do the tasting but if you buy some wine it's free (so pick up a bottle or two). You'll see the bottles around town and we were told the red is great to use to make their traditional stew. Bottles are either €5 or €10 and I think the preserves are as well. read more

Small little place that is perfect for family or close friends trip! Wine tasting is perfect here! There is no food but you can bring your own cheese or food here. Well worth the experience! Call to make sure they're open because it is a home and it's not always open for business, but they welcome you in for sure! read more

This winery was part of the "Wines and Moonshines) all day tour with proISLAND Jeep tours. After we went down in the volcano, we drove over to this small winery on the north side of the Island. The wines and moonshine that we tasted were so good that we bought five bottles (all that we could fit into our suitcases). My wife finished up the bottle of Simas today, but the moonshine is mine. All of the bottles got back to the USA without breaking or leaking, so we will enjoy them later. ps: proISLAND Jeep tours is great. A wonderful way to see and explore Terciera Island. read more
