You won't realize what happened until you start getting billed from BOTH companies - ADI and ADT! ADI's emblem/logo is shaped like a stop sign, exactly like ADT's, the "I" part falls off at the end - very misleading. SCAM! When you call to cancel ADI they just tell you that you can't because you "signed a contract"! If I signed a contract (which I never saw or received a copy) I would have assumed I was signing that ADT updated my system. Some ADI customers say their signature has been forged. SCAM! Because these representatives from ADI come to your door, you would have 3 days to cancel any contract - that's why they do not allow you to have a copy if you did sign a contract. SCAM! I hope no one has a home security system with ADi Alarms as they are nothing but scammers!! Told us there was no contract since we had the system already installed and we only were paying for monitoring! Now they want $2300 to cancel!!!! Seems they are real good telling you that you only sign up for monitoring and then they add your signature to a contract that they never sent you!!! And theyy don't let you review what you are signing on their tablet so you can't see they lied. We will be pursuing legal action. read more

Their service is horrible. I moved into a new house and someone came by telling me he had to set us up. Unfortunately, I did not get much info about the system from the previous owner, so I wanted more information from the tech, who was just interested in "activating" the panel, before telling me the costs involved. I felt rushed, so i decided not to activate. He took his equipment, which was fine. was not comfortable with him, so I chose not to get it. After he took his equipment, I noticed that one of our fire/carbon monoxide detectors was gone. After i reported it to the company , a tech called back, left a message about the "techs" that came to the house (note there was only one person who came to my house) and that they know their equipment. It is not worth arguing with them - I will just stay away from them. The thing is - I plan to get a security company. If the tech had come prepared to discuss options, explain the system, and explain payment, I may have signed up - but his arrogance, scare tactics (Quote - there's lots of homeless who live near the interstate..) completely turned me off. I cannot comment on whether his security service is any good -but I can say that the customer service is terrible. There are a lot of companies out there, and they should try harder to get and keep business. Also, when my mother asked him for ID, he pointed at his shirt, and said this is my ID. Really? Yes, he eventually showed ID, but a real business person would have given this over willingly, without a customer asking. This company went to my father's house and told him they needed to install new equipment. They had him sign an agreement without explaining that he was signing a 60-month contract for $50 per month to monitor the system. When he tried to cancel the contract with them they told him he owed them for the remaining months on the contract. This was very deceptive. Apparently this is a scam that has been going on with security companies across the nation. Their customer serivce is horrible, instead of fixing the issue the "tech" just wants you to buy new equipment & gives you a bunch of fictional reasons why you have to buy this new equipment instead. They don't listen to help resolve the issue, they listen to just fire back any & all excuess they can. Its been over a week & we are still waiting on a call back from a manager. We are told everytime we call "They are in meetings all day & I'm the only one in the whole office." Started off as a great company then just went downhill very fast. I rather support a local based company then a big name one but this time it has been nothing but a headache. read more

I wish I could give negative stars. What a terrible excuse for a company ADI is. We moved to Florida ten months ago. We rented a house so we would have time to shop for a permanent home. This company showed up unannounced to pick up a fob from the previous tenants. We gave them the fob. They stated they have no contracts and home monitoring on the existing system was only forty dollars a month. They had me sign a tablet stating they were in our home and that it doubled as my receipt for the first months payment. We just purchased a house and they said we can transfer the equipment to our new home (we don't own this equipment at the rental property) or we can pay them 2245.50 to get out of the remaining 50 months of the contract. Shame on me for not being able to read anything on that tablet and shame on them for being nasty scammers. We've hired an attorney to fight them. Stay far away from these con artists. read more
