Jacob and his crew showed up about 9:15 AM and got started. Between the neighbor and I, we had 5 oak trees. Four were tall and maybe 20-24" diameter at the trunk. These were taken down in 3 hours, where Jacob would chock a drop rope and tie-off the sectioned branch. The final tree was large (34") and upper branches were spread out. Jacob was very methodical in setting his safety and drop lines. His crew knew what to do and how to do it. Smaller branches were broken down and fed into the chipper, and the logs were set in a truck. They took a 45 minute break for lunch and drop-off the cuttings. Then came the CLEAN UP. They scooped up the wood chips from the stump grinder, cleared away the logs, branches, twigs and leaves. Leveled the ground such that you wouldn't have known there were trees here just hours ago. When they started, it was 30°F and dropped to 26°F when they finished. Yeah, a little snow was involved too. Nothing but the highest praise for Jacob and the First Choice crew. They did their job like professionals, worked HARD, and were exceedingly friendly.
