We don't often leave reviews for other vendors (though we should) but we wanted to specifically point out a few things about Makenna that were noteworthy: *Her communication and organization before the wedding was superb. She was very clear and concise and her timeline was super detailed and well organized (we cannot say the same about all timelines we get from planners) *On the day of the event, she was very composed and relaxed! This may seem like a strange thing to point out, but this is the mark of someone who is good at what they do. It's not that she is "chill" or "doesn't care" it's because she's done her legwork and due diligence before the event to make sure that the day of goes smoothly *She goes above and beyond! There were a few venue issues that were solely the fault of the venue and no one else, Makenna immediately stepped in to help rectify these. She even got in her car and did a run to grab ice mid event (who does that???). Overall she is a true pro and made our day (and our client's wedding) amazing! As the wedding date approached, they became even more involved in every detail, guiding us step by step through the entire process. They worked with us down to the wire with anything from last minute guest updates, to fine tuning details on site, and even stayed until the very end of the night to ensure everything was packed up and we took home all of our personal belongings. Each time we visited the reception venue and met with the on-site coordinators, the team at The Perfect Plan Weddings was right there with us. They listened carefully, offered thoughtful ideas, and reassured us that we were heading in the right direction. Their experience in planning weddings brought clarity and confidence to every decision. We frequently communicated via Zoom, phone calls, emails, and texts messages from the moment we met Shea, Jack, and Paige, all the way up to the wedding itself. They were always available and responsive. They continually shared their expertise throughout planning, making what could have been a stressful time feel organized and manageable. Dia also helped created our itinerary several times and ensured that all our other vendors got a copy of the finalized itinerary. Dia and her husband are well organized and very communicative. As a bride, I had a lot of requests and very specific about the logistics of how I wanted things moved to during the transition of the ceremony, cocktail hour, cake cutting, reception, etc. Dia and Her really made sure that our vision came to life and was there throughout the day of our wedding from venue setup at 10am all the way until our wedding ended and we had to break everything down, 12am. She's also flexible and can work within your budget for the services that you need. Having an experienced day of coordinator is really important since it alleviates the stress for the bride and groom and we are so glad that we booked Dia and Her! Additionally, prior to our wedding, Dia and her husband met up with us to tour our wedding venue together so that they can get a better idea of how the big day would look like. Dia really helped us with the rehearsal practice the day prior to our wedding and lined everyone up accordingly. On the day of our wedding, everything went smoothly thanks to Dia's coordination. There was a small hiccup with our catering team during dinner and Dia was able to help address it so that we weren't stressed about our guests not having water. Additionally, throughout our wedding day, Dia made sure to remind us to eat snacks, drink water, and even grabbed us a plate of food/appetizers when we were getting ready and taking photos. Not only that but made sure to grab us a drink from the bar and asked if we needed anything. My family was very impressed with the services that Dia and Her gave us and said that they are very professional. It gave us the perfect balance of convenience and personalization. We were fortunate to have Andrea as our photographer, Hai as our videographer, DJ Tri as our DJ and MC, and Brad as our officiant--and every single one of them exceeded our expectations. Andrea was absolutely amazing to work with. She was creative, patient, made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, captured every meaningful moment so naturally, and was always one step ahead in anticipating the perfect shot. In my opinion, having a wedding planner was a necessity and one I would advise other brides to have, even if it means scaling back on other costs for your wedding reception. For me personally, having a wedding planner was the difference between me just being able to "pull off" my reception and me being able to enjoy it. To save some money, I hired KWE for month of/day of coordination rather than full event planning (though they were available from the get-go for contract help, referrals and all-around advice). The month before my event, Kate swooped in and took care of all the details: designing the layout of the venue, coordinating with the vendors, etc. The week before, day before and the day of she took care of everything! She picked up supplies, was on hand to greet and coordinate with other vendors, did setup and cleanup, delivered items to my house after the reception, helped keep the party on track and so much more! I am not sure if there were any snafus (though I am sure there were, how couldn't there have been?) because if there were, she took care of them on the spot. She even jumped into action when I spilled red wine on my gown early in the evening. I really, really, really cannot emphasize enough how wonderful it was to have Kate and her team on board. I strongly advise you to consider hiring her for your event.
