First, this situation escalated because the "service" they provided made the issue worse. If the PURT treatment had failed to work, I would have shrugged my shoulders, said "well, I tried" and replaced the carpet. But by applying some sort of chemical cleaning treatment to the carpet (after applying PURT twice) they created a situation where the lingering odor of pet urine was strengthened and overwhelmed by a disgusting, flowery chemical odor from their cleaning product. It was absolutely unbearable and I had to close off two rooms in my home until the carpet could be replaced. Simply awful! As for their assertion that they have had no complaints about PURT, I find this difficult to believe. In doing a simple google search of the PURT treatment, I couldn't find a single positive review. There were very few reviews of this process and the ones I did find were mixed. ChemDry says their PURT treatment will save "your most severe urine damaged areas." This was NOT my experience. In fact, my "areas" were not severely damaged until All County ChemDry came in and created the problem. As for their assertion that they cleaned areas only I can smell, that is simply ridiculous. The areas they cleaned were areas that I could smell, that my husband could smell, that my children could smell, that my nanny could smell ... the list goes on. In addition, while Chem Dry's "blacklight" showed that they treated all the problem areas with PURT, when I purchased a black light from amazon, followed the instructions, properly darkened the room, and scanned the area, I found many urine spots that Chem Dry missed. This is an example of their shoddy workmanship, which is largely unrelated to the ineffective PURT treatment. I was planning to put this situation behind me, but Chem Dry's comments make it clear that they don't care about their customers. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in the hopes that I can recover the $218 I paid to this company for ruining two carpets in my home. In the interim, I stand by my review. AVOID ALL COUNTY CHEM DRY AND THE PURT TREATMENT AT ALL COSTS!!!
