Adriano's is a cheap and cheerful chip shop at the tail end of Dunbar High Street. It is cheap, because it is a chip shop and it is cheerful because of the polite and efficient staff running the shop.
The staff scoop up the chips, fry the fish, top the pizzas, answer the phone, drizzle the "Edinburgh sauce" and take orders, all at the same time might I add. Although queues on Friday and Saturday nights can be horrendous (out the door and down the street towards Umberto's and Bellfine) they move very quickly and you will be served and out of the shop before you know it.
It is owned by the same people as the Central on West Port but it is much better! The staff are faster and the food is of a better quality. I would only pick Central over Adriano's if I wanted a proper sit-in meal as this place has no seats. But the harbour is just a 5 minute walk away, so you can eat with a sea view!
They also sell Equi's ice cream for those with a sweet tooth! read more
