He told me that I couldn't purchase anything until I showed him everything in my pockets & proceeded to point out which pocket and then said he could see it. It was my cellphone and a power bank. At this point the girl I had been trying so hard to impress the past month had walked up and got caught up with the situation. I again told him there was a mistake, I explained what he saw in my pocket, and asked that he please just allow us to purchase the items we chose and leave. He wouldn't budge. I then told him that I would happily empty my pockets if he showed me the e-mail instructing him to carry out this embarrassing "search ". He then refused, at which point I shared my suspicion he was singling me out for whatever prejudice he had. I ended up emptying my pockets and proving my innocence, yet the embarrassment couldn't be erased. I then voiced my anger and requested to speak to a manager. He told me he was the manager and I could basically go fuck myself or contact the owner. I obliged saying I would inform the owner the next morning. All I would need was his name. He refused to give me his name and denied any wrongdoing. I was baffled by this customer service. This is a shame. When I asked the other employees if he was indeed the manager no one would answer my questions or give me the store's number. I then started taking a video and asked him to please repeat everything he just told me on video if he feels there was not anything wrong with his actions. He refused, tried to cover his face and then told the others to call the police. I can tell you I have never been treated so poorly in any establishment where there are customers and those paid to help them. I will never put a cent towards this establishment ever again. While this store has a good selection and knowledgeable staff, they also have the rudest security! It was Sunday the 20th of January 2019 at 8:50pm. I pulled into the Megaplexxx parking after receiving a text from my girlfriend. After typing out a response, I look up to see that I had been joined by the store security. I rolled down my window and was greeted by a mumbled question along the lines of 'did you just come out of the store a minute ago.' Confused, and seeking to allay suspicions, I told him that I had pulled in to send a text, that such activity is illegal in Texas roads and that I am also a security officer. My intention was to convey that I had legitimate reason to be there, that I was not a cause for concern and that I would be leaving soon. All I got in response was a dead eyed stare, and a strange rebuttal, 'that's not what I asked you.' Confused and frustrated I reiterated my situation because I did not want to leave until I knew where I was going. And again I was rebuked, 'you haven't answered my question.' My phone goes off and I turn my attention there. I now know my destination and need only to send a reply. As I look up the guard tells me, 'as a security guard you know what comes next. I'll have to radio this in.' His malintention is clear, he means to call the cops on a citizen who had gone out of their way to obey traffic laws and city ordinances. I lost my temper, this was uncalled for behavior. I told him to eff off, that I was leaving. Nothing more. Then, in a moment of clarity, I rolled down my window and relayed to him, 'there is a not nice way to go about this and a nice way.' His response as I sped away, 'o I'm just such a bad person.' I was speechless, confused and all kinds of angry. I had done nothing criminal or illicit, cooperated fully and he was going to call me in for criminal trespass. What's more, he showed that he was unwilling to take responsibility for his actions. I may have been mad, but I did not call him names, rather I stated my anger at how he handled the situation. The whole affair left me fuming! To sum, I will never be returning to this store and I will be telling all my friends to avoid it. The actions of the guard were not only outrageously rude and uncivil, but dangerous. Not just to the reputation of the business he represents, but also to his own person. The Megaplexxx (pronounced mega-plex! ex! ex! ex!) is well known for their tacky bilboards around town, but as far as pr0n stores go, they're pretty darn respectable (or at least clean and well-lit) They're primarily a video/DVD rental joint, but they also have the usual pr0n store selection of toys/novelties, tacky lingerie, lubes and tacky batchellorette party gifts. The DVD/video selection is pretty typical, with lots of new releases and movies categorized by subject matter (BDSM, lesbian, bisexual midgets, etc). Although I've not given it the once-over, the gay movie section seems to be more extensive than other adult stores in the area. Megaplexxx also features "preview rooms" which usually make you think of dank, dirty hallways, cramped little rooms and glory-holes. Not the case at the Megaplexxx. These preview rooms require a cash deposit which is forfeit if you trash the room - so they stay clean. Each room features a big comfy chair and the usual multi-channel TV with a dollar-bill feeder. His female co-worker was up there by herself at one point and came around from the desk to help me. So she'll go the extra mile at least.
