With just a passing glance at the broken piece in my hand, the guy behind the counter (the owner?) swooped to a pegboard on the wall and plucked out the exact replacement part I was looking for. Amazingly, it was a part I had spent considerable time looking online at the largest e-retailer and the other large online auction site, and while I did find it there, too, I preferred the immediacy of buying it in a bricks-and-mortar store and at a comparable price as at the supposed discount sites. Coolant hoses, sold by the foot and custom-cut, were also much more convenient and economical to buy locally. I'll definitely be back the next time my car needs regular maintenance, repairs or a wash and wax!
