I love all the family events. I also enjoy the teachers and director Ms. Abi. My daughter is now starting the PreK class room which I am excited to see how much more she learns. I would recommend this school to anyone but especially if you want teachers who are passionate and patient.

My 2-year-old previously attended Kiddie Academy, and unfortunately our experience was deeply…read moredisappointing and emotionally distressing. From the beginning, I received daily phone calls about my child's behavior. Instead of partnering with us or offering constructive support, the communication felt negative, with my child repeatedly being labeled as "bad." At just 2 years old, this was extremely concerning. What ultimately crossed the line was when the center contacted my child's father and informed us that our child was not welcome to return due to his behavior, without attempting a collaborative plan or meaningful intervention. To make matters worse, my child once came home with a chipped front tooth. When I asked what had happened, I was told they would get back to me. The response I eventually received was simply that "he falls a lot," with no incident report or clear explanation. As a parent, this was unacceptable. After leaving Kiddie Academy, we enrolled our child elsewhere, where he immediately began thriving. That center provided exactly what he needed patience, structure, and understanding and even recommended a smaller childcare setting, which made a world of difference. This confirmed that the issue was not my child, but the environment. I cannot fully express the emotional toll this placement took on me as a mother. I struggled to focus at work and was constantly worried about my child's well-being while he was in their care. I strongly encourage parents to ask detailed questions about how behavioral concerns and injuries are handled, and how communication with families is prioritized, before enrolling their children here. If i could rate no starts i would.

Our son has attended Mires martial arts for almost one year now…read more Sensi Geoff is a fantastic teacher that helps to motivate the children and encourage them appropriately. He encourages focus and dedication to grow in karate, and sees the students for who they are and is able to meet each one individually as well as the group. He includes philosophy in his classes and has older students help to demonstrate more sophisticated katas and help the younger students as well. We are very satisfied with our karate experience, our son loves to go! I am amazed at how much he has learned in almost one year. We look forward to signing up our daughter when she is old enough :-)

Mires Martial Arts is a great dojo for you to learn karate and life skills. The schedule is very…read moreconvenient as the dojo offers several times each day to accomodate multiple schedules. My daughter and son both joined and have learned much more than karate. They were challenged to work hard to earn their belts and stripes never given anything but earned it by practicing and taking feedback. They both are more confident with their self defense but also with handling confrontations, what to do in specific situations, and how to deal with difficult feelings and people. All of that in a fun welcoming setting. My son is learning new weapons and has partaked on the beach session. Sense Geoff has a fun teaching method to engage participation and creates an environment that brings enthusiasm and engagement in learning. He is always maintaining a safe environment for every student and also pushes them to challenge themselves to be their best. He has a great sense of humor making learning fun while he still maintains discipline over the group. He is building confident and respectful students that will benefit from his teachings for a long time. He has some students attending over 10+ years that still show up growing up with the dojo which is a testament to his teachings for all ages. Thank you Sensei keep up the great work.

What we experienced was the opposite. During the 4:30pm "Intro to Dance" class on 1/30/26, our child was separated from the group for ~ 15 minutes after a minor balance-related accident during a circle activity. From direct observation through the classroom window, she appeared shocked and not crying at first, but her distress began only after being pulled aside and instructed to sit alone. She remained isolated for the rest of the session, including routine end-of-class activities. When we attempted to discuss the situation afterward, the teacher characterized the incident as "intentional" without providing any factual explanation. Later written communication from studio owner denied that any isolation or disciplinary action had occurred, and also denied that the teacher had described the incident as "intentional." which directly conflicted with what we personally witnessed. We understand that toddlers lose balance and accidents happen. What is concerning is not the accident itself, but the lack of transparency, inconsistent accounts, and absence of clear behavioral management standards for very young children. We withdrew immediately. If you are looking for an environment that treats young children with dignity and values honest communication with parents, I suggest looking elsewhere.
