I was down in HH for a bit over three weeks and saw that my "change oil" light flipped on the way down and as I had a lot of driving coming up - including driving back to Pennsylvania - I found Station One on the AAA recommendation list and booked an oil change there. They took my car at the appointed time, took care of the oil, and then did a safety check where they found a bubble on my passenger side rear wheel. They pointed out the problem, circled it in chalk, and told me that it was dangerous to drive on, and even gave me a quote for replacing the tire, or two tires. I don't know s*it about cars but I have great mechanics back home who I've trusted for over thirty years and after I got back to where we were staying I sent them a photo of the bubble on which you can actually see the bubble protruding, they absolutely agreed with the mechanics here and told me that under no uncertain terms that I could not drive back with any tire in that condition. They didn't even want me driving on any major highway until it was replaced. Plus, my guy says that the quoted price for replacement was very fair, that I wouldn't be doing better at home. Station One fit me in first thing in the morning allowing the plans for the rest of my day to go on as planned, they took about exactly the amount of time they told me to expect it to take and when they presented the bill it was less than the quotation. I can't thank them enough. We've all been reading about escalating tire prices and availability - they had access to what was needed overnight at a price that was more than reasonable.

They ran 2 diagnostic tests- charged $230 and told me it was fine. the next day I barely made it to Sea Pines from Walmart. called them to drive it back but couldn't even get past Sea Pines circle. island Tire found the problem and repaired it as soon as the part came in. very unhappy to be charged for nothing at H & H Michael did text me to ask is everything was ok since I never made it to their shop but did not offer any kind of refund since they allowed me to leave with engine light still on

Took my car in on a Thursday and decide to take in to another shop on the following Tuesday unrepaired and in worse shape than it was when I had it brought in. I should have seen the red flags when Michael the service clerk texted me "Working on getting a shop vac here so we can suck out the water" . A shop with out a shop vacuum is not much of a shop in my opinion, I offered mine to speed things up and he declined my offer. Not going to get into he said and I said but go here at your own risk, don't be like me and regret it later. I wondered why the lack of cars or folks waiting to have there cars serviced when I was there. Just Michaels attitude alone will turn most folks off

He said he could and would try to have the part ready when they opened the next day. Jim was not able to get the part until 10am but to my surprise he was through with it at 11:25! I know he charged a very fair price because I know how much the part cost. Jim could have very easily jacked up the price due to my situation but didn't - that is the sign of an honest professional. Jim and his wife are very nice people and although Perfection Automotive specializes in Lexus I'm sure they are capable of fixing any car.
