I'm a hairstylist, I put it off as long as I possibly could. I have friends & clients that required surgery & NONE of them have had positive results. His bedside manner is excellent, for how incredibly talented he is. No ego! When ALL the nurses & OR staff can't wait to tell you how incredible your surgery was, or how incredible HE is, listen! (They're the ones who know!) He's the real deal. I've heard other names mentioned in VC as neurosurgeons & quite frankly, the people that have been operated on, they all still have problems. Requiring multiple surgeries!!!! I don't, at all. He's conservative, & told me I will probably need something in the future, however, I haven't yet. My biggest fear about Dr. James M. Herman, is that he's going to retire... from where I'm looking from, that's the only fear that is acceptable, when it comes to my neurosurgeon! I couldn't recommend him more. She was also assessed by her primary care doctor, a cardiologist and the DMV. All results (included a vision and a driving test at the DMV) indicated there were no apparent medical issues and she was fully capable of driving. However, the DMV had a form letter from this doctor saying she should not drive. When we asked him why, he claimed the cardiology report had stated she shouldn't drive; but when we asked to see a copy, he reviewed it on his computer and didn't find anything to show us. Then he stated that she only passed the computer test (in his office) because I helped her. We were sitting in the front office when the doctor's staff called her to another room for the computer test (somewhere behind the front desk). I remained in the waiting room. In the end, it appeared he simply believed someone her age should not be driving. I recommend finding a neurologist who doesn't make up his own rules and gives straightforward answers.

We were informed that they are not affiliated with Dignity Health, which has made it difficult for them to access or locate my grandmother's information. Each time I have called, the staff seem unsure and unable to provide clear answers. I am frequently placed on hold, only to be told that someone will return my call. I have made multiple attempts--calling several times and leaving numerous voicemails--to understand the next steps for obtaining my grandmother's neuropsychological evaluation results from December 2025. Each time, I am told that I will get a call back, yet we have not received any follow-up. This ongoing lack of communication and accountability has been incredibly stressful, especially given the importance of these medical results! It has been months without resolution. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this practice with Dr. Mani Nezhad. The problem is most people don't have time to google him or do a deep dive as their loved ones are in the emergency room with brain injuries, that need immediate care. I found it odd that just now they were contacting me about this. I went ahead and called Seaview while I was still there and to my surprise NO REQUEST was put in since my original visit. NO ONE bothered to even call during the month long time frame they had. I was so upset as this is a serious manner, my health is not a joke and all they could tell me was that I could come back on the 18th since they were just now putting in the request.
