When I showed up to my appointment yesterday, Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 3:30 p.m., both doors to the office were locked & one had a real estate-type padlock on it. I banged on both of the doors with no response. I called the phone number I had which was in the 516 area code (we are in Buffalo, area code 716). Someone eventually answered who did not seem to know what she was talking about & was hard to hear. She tried to get me to make another appointment. I told her to just forget about it, I want nothing to do with Advance Physical Therapy. It looks to me as though Advance Physical Therapy was evicted from the premises, as evidenced by the real estate-type lockbox on the door!!!

As you can imagine, with me only being 22 at the time it was the scariest thing I had ever experienced. I was worried I would never get back to my normal. My therapist, Chris was very accommodating and supporting my entire journey back to wellness! He assured me that we would set goals and expectations based on where I was and where I wanted to be. They worked with my schedule whether I needed to be there first thing in the morning or late in the day. When I missed an appointment, they would call and hold me accountable! I loved feeling like my progress was just as important to me as it was to him. I would not choose another facility let alone another therapist! I plan on going back in since it's been about two years and I am now experiencing some popping when rotating my knee. I will update my review after my next journey!

That trainer just so happened to have have worked at a different location of BRG, and this trainer left that field because "They have like 10 or 12 back exercises and pretend to make you a custom program of 5 or 6 of 'em but really they're randomly picking them." If that was enough to cause a whole career change, I am a bit disappointed with the 'custom' program that had been developed for me. With that being said: Jodi was still awesome and while the physical therapy couldn't reverse something that needed surgery I guess I'd still recommend them.

A friend referred me to Scott who was able to assess what I needed and a treatment plan for me very quickly. Scott has a team of therapists, Paul and Dave, who are helpful and awesome. They were very clear and honest about the path to get better and were patient and attentive during the recovery process. They listened and believed what I said when I described my discomfort and pain. They carefully watched me do my therapy to ensure they had the correct exercises I needed for each step of the way. I appreciated that they made me a folder with diagrams and notes about what I needed to do each day in between appointments. This really helped me to stay on track. I appreciated that they took their time to ensure I was at my best before releasing me from my program. I would recommend these guys for anyone who needs PT. Great location, availability of appointment times and the faculty is very clean. Staff and other patients are wearing masks at all times and the surfaces are constantly being cleaned.

I went in strong and came out ready for recovery. After a three-month recovery, I have continued receiving physical therapy to strengthen and increase mobility postoperatively. The team has been very compassionate and flexible with my personal needs.
