Julie is an award winning beauty therapist who ran a variety of salons in the UK for 20+ years but now lives in Adelaide. Trust me a trip to visit her for a treatment or two and not only will your face and bod feel like a million bucks, you'll feel like you've known her for years. She has a really hearty laugh when you get her going. I've personally experienced facials, waxings and microdermabrasion treatments which make your face feel like you've just had it vacuumed. For me, walking into one of the treatment rooms is an automatic cue to relax and chill out for an hour or so. There are plenty more treatments on offer and Julie and her staff can make almost any body part look and feel attractive. Not that I've ever experienced it, but they do offer something called a Hollywood Lift that was big on Dr Phil a while back - they say it's the non-surgical equivalent of a facelift. Sounds good but a little on the scary side - I don't think I'm ready for a facelift or even facelift equivalent just yet. Facials, waxings and pedicures were once the sole domain of the girls but visit Diamond Clinic on Unley and you're going to see more than one guy visiting the salon ... and why shouldn't they! We live in the age of the metrosexual guy and most of us girls are happy our men are taking better care of themselves.

The salon itself is very clean and spacious and the music is so soothing. The microdermabrasion was fantastic, throughout the whole procedure Julie was extremely profession by guiding me through all the steps, what she was doing and in a friendly and non-pushy way she advised me of some of the products that would suit my face the best. She really knows what she's talking about and has loads of experience behind her. Definitely coming back here again!

I booked in for the Delux Pamper Package (1 hour massage & 30 min facial) 1 1/2 hours just melted away and the head and foot massage took me off to another place - and I feel asleep during the body massage. The facial was bliss- and the products were nice and had a pleasant smell, and left the skin feeling light and smooth. The service was good and on leaving Mel advised they do season specials - which she did tell me about and I have to admit did rebook for a massage and scalp treatment!! I walked into this business not sure of what to expect and walked out with appointments in advance for next few months. I now have to break up with my previous Beauty Spa place as this place is divine bliss. Had my first remedial massage with Linda Fang today and she was wonderful!…read more I really like a hard massage and I asked her to go a bit harder, which she did, without being ridiculous about it. She obviously knows the body very well and could tell exactly where my tight spots were (not that I imagine that was too hard today!) and she worked them well - even down along referral pain paths which was amazing because I find a lot of therapists don't do that. I went to Linda because she was close to my work and accepts my Bupa health cover (huzzah!) and I'm so glad I did. Apparently she's been in this location for three years but I never realised! I only called up an hour before heading in as well so availability, at least this time around, was pretty good! If you love Eastern style massage and want a massage who obviously has years of knowledge and expertise behind her, I can highly recommend Linda. Plus, her prices are great! $70 for a one hour remedial massage today, of which I get a significant chunk back thanks to Bupa :) Point to note: Linda does not accept cards - make sure you have cash handy! I didn't... But she was very understanding and simply pointed me towards the closest ATM.

Finding Linda's Massage was as much an accident (literally) as it was pure luck. My feet was all swell up after a day of standing and I had Linda's name card on hand. I called to ask if she could help me with them, quoting ankles sprain as the culprit. But first visit and Linda was able to see through the pain and right into the cause. It was an incredible experience, as I have always known that a good traditional Chinese practitioner would be able to do just that and finally, after the longest time, I finally found one! Needless to say, I have been visiting her weekly for about two weeks now and things have been looking mighty good! The swelling is no longer a problem, and I can stand and run around all day without ever feeling any pain! How cool is that? Anyone who needs a great Chinese massage therapist should consider Linda immediately! And this is coming from someone who has been searching high and low for a good Chinese practitioner for ages! I had a full head of ridiculously long (23 inch) hair extensions installed here earlier this year…read more I was happy with the price and mainly loved the look and style they achieved for me. I have the less well-known tape ones, which cost more, but do not damage the hair like other styles. They also lie flat and are comfortable from the get-go, unlike microbeads which hurt initially with the weight pulling on your scalp. I'm the first to admit that I'm a total fuss-pot and I wasn't happy with the quality of the hair installed. I highly doubted it was Russian as promised, as I'd quickly realised my new tresses were full of split ends and straw-dry. I tried using an expensive conditioner and trimming endlessly to no avail. Three months later I returned very frustrated and asked to have them out as the hair was tangling like mad and driving me nuts. Chrissie was wonderful. She agreed to remove the existing extensions free of charge and replace the full head of hair on the house. My only regret is I didn't return earlier to complain, as they claim to guarantee their extensions and obviously are good for it. So all's well that ends well. My tip is stay away from the razor cut that are usually done on extensions, instead fork out for a proper cut at your usual hairdresser and no one will know it's not your own hair. Zeal also do beauty services, the most unique of which is the Vajazzle, I'll leave that one to your imagination. In a nutshell - instant glampuss!
