The waiting room is very nicely decorated and cozy; I almost feel as if I'm at home instead of a business. The hygienists and the dentist are always very personable and friendly. I always enjoy good conversation with Jess when I go for a cleaning (which is pretty impressive since there are often instruments in my mouth). You really get the feeling that the people care about you personally. Paying is also a breeze, as the girl who helps with that is very caring and will take the time to explain all the details and answer any questions you have. There is even a 5% discount if you pay in full. The price is a little more expensive than other dental groups in the area, but I feel it is definitely worth it. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else.

This is not the first time they didn't do the work that was scheduled. At a previous appointment, they did nothing because the doctor couldn't get me numb, something that has never happened to me in my 67 years. So, 4 trips to Quincy and twice came home without having the work done that was scheduled. Update: I called AA Dental to talk to Lance. The person who answered the phone hemmed and hawed for about 5 minutes and then said he wasn't available. I left my name and number and asked to have Lance return my call. It has been at least 2 weeks and I have not heard a word from him. I really don't think he exists!!

I have gone to corporate owned dentists, like the one named after a ski resport town in Colorado... and it was a horrible sales pitch from the moment I sat in the chair. It was awful. College Avenue Dental is different. They only recommend oral hygiene extras if you need it. I never feel pressured to go into debt for my oral health. I am grateful to CAD for their punctuality. After having extensive dental work done else where, while caring for my daughter in the St. Louis area, I went to Dr. Lawson in desperation. Everything was ill fitting and left me unable to eat almost everything. I lost 30 pounds in 6 months (and not in a good way.) This man, this amazing dentist, worked with me and corrected everything. I can now enjoy whatever I want to eat. I can't say enough about how important it is to chose a dentist who knows his profession, understands the needs of the patient and has the expertise and knowledge to perform dental procedures using the newest technologies. After Dr. Lawson corrected my dental work, I asked him to complete 5 mini-dental implants. After a completely painless procedure (and I'm a real wuz), I forgot to get the presciption from the front desk before I left after 5pm. I asassumed since the ads for the center all state that this dental center accepts Medicaid /medicare and that it would pay for the tooth extraction as it has any other dental facility that I have used that advertised that they took it. But Macomb IL is a different place or so it seems. I needed a tooth extracted but needed a tooth extraction but ended up with many X-rays and gum and bone density tests instead. ( It was my first visit). I paid 85 dollars for that and had to have another appointment set up which was done very fast for the tooth extraction. Living on SS does not leave a lot and that is why we older people rely on Medicaid /medicare. TH extraction would run over two hundred. I guess I get a coupon back. Well, I don't want a coupon. I need the tooth out and paid for by Medicaid/medicare. Anyway, the visit is nice and if you have money or good insurance it is an amazing place.

Today I want to talk about the staff, from the call to make an appointment to the second I walked out the door I felt like I was the only patient they have and they sure didn't want to lose me. I called to cancel/switch my appointment because my car wouldn't start and they set me up with another appointment 3 days later. 3 DAYS LATER not weeks or months 3 days!!! I walked in, checked in and waited all of 5 min before I was called in. I had my teeth cleaned and polished in no time and both dental tech and assistant were friendly, professional and made me feel comfortable instantly. Once I was done in there I was walked to the front desk and was not left alone until a receptionist came to help me book my next appointment. Also I'm retired military and they always make sure my insurance is approved prior to my visit which is soooo nice. CALLING ALL MILITARY RETIREES!!! The details...it's all about the details. I definitely recommend Kirksville Dental Group, Dr. Kice and all her amazing staff. Thanks for being such a great place to get my teeth taken care of.

He had my front tooth chip fixed in less than 5 minutes and it fits my bite better than any other time I had it fixed in the past . I had a Root canal done and I didn't feel any pain or discomfort. They have comfortable chairs and tv's in every room, extremely friendly and professional staff. I would reccomend this place to everyone. Very clear and concise explanation of billing and the procedure he is performing . I have had dental work done at the university of Iowa and many other doctors across Iowa buffalo prairie is seriously the best dental provider I have ever gone to.

I got a second opinion, using the X-rays BP took. The second dentist said I had one mild cavity. What a difference! So I got a third opinion, without telling them about any previous reports. The third dentist also stated I had one mild cavity. By my own assessment, Buffalo Prairie lies to their patients and exaggerates their dental status to gain capital. I cannot encourage you enough to stay away from this business.
