updated Aspen Dental in Quincy Illinois I had to wait over 30 mins to get back to see the Dentist then it took over 2 Hrs Aain this time just to get my teeth adjusted bc of some rough places on them was really hurting my mouth Bad! (they was only with me a whole total of 25 mins out of all that time & they still don't fit right I paid $3,000 for these teeth ) I feel now that ASPEN DENTAL IN QUINCY IL has mediocre service they don't schedule Appts. right so the Dr. CAN DO HIS JOB IN A TIMELY MANNOR" I have tried to make light of it all BUT NOW I think they are really only 1 star above the ONE DAY DENTURES "the only difference is one day allows only 3 times to come back but Aspen you can just KEEP coming back" I Do NOT recommend this place to people that want things done in a timely fashion and expect Good quality. 1. False Claims of Unpaid Balance Used as a Sales Tactic On multiple occasions, I received voicemail and text messages from Aspen Dental stating that I had an outstanding balance. This was incorrect. My Explanation of Benefits (EOB) clearly shows that my routine cleaning was covered 100% by my insurance, leaving a $0 balance. Concerned, I contacted the office to resolve what appeared to be a billing error. During these calls, I was told, "We must have the wrong information." When I offered to provide my EOB as proof, I was told it was "not necessary" and that someone would "correct the records." Despite these assurances, the same misleading messages were repeated. This pattern strongly suggests that the "balance due" claim was not an actual billing issue, but rather a tactic designed to prompt contact and create an opportunity to solicit additional services. 2. Unsupported Claims about Missing 'Deep Cleaning' In a separate instance, I was again contacted with similar messaging. During the follow-up call, I was told Aspen Dental had "no record of a deep cleaning" being performed. This statement is both misleading and concerning: At no point during my visit did either the hygienist or dentist indicate that a deep cleaning was needed. In fact, both providers specifically complimented my dental hygiene. No treatment recommendation or clinical justification for a deep cleaning was ever provided. When I challenged this inconsistency, I was told the representative was "just reading the notes," suggesting a lack of accountability or understanding of the information being communicated. This interaction raises serious concerns that Aspen Dental may be using incomplete or ambiguous records as a pretext to suggest additional, potentially unnecessary, procedures for financial gain. I request that Aspen Dental: 1. Immediately cease all misleading billing and solicitation communications directed toward me 2. Correct their records to accurately reflect my account status 3. Provide a clear explanation of why these communications occurred 4. Review and correct their internal practices to prevent similar issues affecting other patients These experiences have significantly eroded my trust in this provider and raise broader concerns about their business practices. read more

Referred me for a root canal then refused to do the crown. They tried to force me to do a $1600 cleaning first. Supposedly policy. I will find a real dentist instead of a con artist. read more

Wait time was too long! I had to wait for approximately 1h to be seen. In addition, the bill I received is higher compared to other dental offices -- they will overcharge you! read more

What can you do? Close your business, according to Aspen, there was a warranty, I signed paperwork and Aspen said my insurance would be reimbursed . That never happened, I went to have dental work done elsewhere, Aspen never reimbursed anything to my insurance, so, you lied, I found out months after, you need to go out of business, because your business practices suck and I just wonder how many others you have lied to read more

I will never come back here again. I brought my 7 year old daughter in and the dentist told her she needs to brush her teeth twice a day which is not the issue at all. The issue is that she told my daughter, "only cute girls brush their teeth twice a day, you won't be a cute girl if you don't brush twice a day." We came home and my daughter said the dentist really hurt her feelings and my daughter now thinks she's not cute. I reassured her that she is beautiful. I highly do not recommend them. read more

I finally had all my teeth pulled. The Dr is great at that!!! Never had one extraction go that well. Problem I have is getting in for adjustment on dentures. I get you are busy but I don't really have 4 hours to wait just to see if I can get in. I can make an appointment for end of the month but I can't wear bottoms now. I had appointment to visit for first time and I wanted to address having a partial made first before filling any cavities . Went thru the steps of paperwork and drove a hour to this appointment and the assistant didn't even let me see a Dr because she said " she didn't want to waste time" because I said my first plan was to get a partial made asap . Now ...first off what if I didn't have a cavity and my blood pressure was high 162/102 . From a medical stand point I should of been addressed for the blood pressure and NOT talked down to and I'm still just not understanding this unprofessionalism of being told I don't want to waste our time lol . I consider this a very ignorant and unprofessional office and will happily take my money else where . Had an urgent need for appt. Not only got one quick also was able to go back same day and Dr Mina was able to quickly complete two tough surgical tooth extractions and a filling to help with a bad infection. Both her and Naya were amazing, nice, professional and worked with my primary due to meds. Covid safety was amazing. Office staff went above and beyond to make it all happen and was very affordable. I went here in December 2018 to try their services. I have BC/BS dental insurance. I am now getting bill for the entire amount of the visit. I have called several times and they do not know why they haven't billed insurance. It's April 14th and they still have not billed insurance. Wonder when they will send to a collection agency? This fight should be fun. Oh, and I won't be making another appointment, will try someone different. read more

It is worth the wait! The first time I was there, they were short-staffed. I did not get the treatment plan that day. They emailed it to me and when I went back in, they took the time to go over the plan and answer ALL my questions. The hygienist was really good. She told me what she was doing and how to care for my teeth after the visit. Even though I was sore, it was to be expected. I hadn't had a really good cleaning in a couple years. I think it's worth taking the time. read more

I had a very disappointing experience here. We are newly back to Quincy, and I wanted to identify an option for a long-term relationship with a new dentist. To me, that means getting to know them first and making sure you're in sync. I called asking for just a teeth cleaning and was very clear - I only wanted a cleaning. I offered to bring my prior, current X-Rays but could not get their transmission information. In the confirming call, I again said, "cleaning only." When I arrived, I reminded the receptionist, "I am only here for cleaning." Instead, they dragged me back to the X-Ray room and insisted that was where everything started and if I didn't like it they would charge for the appointment regardless. For clarity, they DID NOT charge when all was said and done, but I did leave. If their practice required X-Rays, either they could have communicated that prerequisite and I could have decided on that basis or they could have provided the information needed to transmit my existing records: Even if my new insurance might have paid for a new set; even if I may not have had (yet) over exposure to radiation. Dentists may be professionals, but they also are service providers who give advise not dictate conduct. If I can't get my wishes honored on something so simple, there was no possibility of returning here for anything else. Body autonomy involves a broad range of scenarios, and getting over-treated is a frequently overlooked but very important affront. read more

My first visit was not impressive with time management and addressing client concerns! I was in the waiting room for 1 1/2 hours before they called my name. After X-Rays, I waited another half hour for the hygienist, than another half hour for the dentist. I wasn't able to understand the dentist's heavy accent. I came for a sore jaw and teeth, but they tried to say it was nothing. Than gave me a paste that was supposed to reduce the discomfort. After the visit, I had to wait 15 minutes to find out estimates of what I would owe. This was the worse experience I have ever had with a dentist. read more
