Advanced Dermatology dermatologist office on Enterprise Road in Orange City, FL gave my contact number to the website of its parent company, which then texted me soliciting interest in buying its products. On this website, I saw the Proscriptix Brightening pads that I have previously brought (on more than one occasion) from the dermatologist's office. So, I purchased one for MORE THAN $100!! I thought it had come from my dermatologist's office. The product arrived without liquid (dry). Unfortunately, I didn't realize this until much later because I was still using a container of the same product previously purchased at the dermatologist's office. The first time I purchased this product, I personally witnessed the esthetician (at the dermatologist's office) simply pour some solution into a container of brightening pads to activate them. Fast forward to today. I brought my online $100+ purchase of Proscriptix Brightening Pads WITHOUT whatever magic solution that activates them into the office to ask that the solution be added. However, the young male desk clerk insisted that I needed to go to the website and complete a return application. He instructed me where to go on the website to make this happen. I reluctantly did so in front of him. The website DID NOT function properly. It would NOT allow me to submit the application. The website's "chat" was equally ineffective. The clerk was unwavering in his insistence that the office could not refund products not purchased from their office. He ignored me each time I informed him that I didn't want a refund--simply the solution that activates the product. I've watched the esthetician do this myself. The entire process took her about 30 seconds. Needless to say, I was MORE THAN UNHAPPY!! The simple solution would have been to add the solution to the dry product I erroneously received then notify me about whatever their (illogical) policy is going forward. Prior to this extremely disappointing interaction, I had assumed that the online purchase originated from their establishment. After all, the office is the place with MY contact information. I didn't indicate a desire for them to contact me or sell my information to their parent company. I didn't reach out to them. THEY CONTACTED ME! I am chagrinned by the insouciance of the staff at the Advanced Dermatology office on Enterprise Road in Orange City, FL. Their inability or unwillingness (or both) to assist me makes me question the integrity of their establishment. Where is the customer service? Apparently, this is a franchise. I owned a franchise before, and I KNOW this is NOT the way you're supposed to operate. I'm now relegated to hoping that the Advanced Dermatology "website" received my application and cares whether I actually get the product I paid for or a refund of my money. Everything was explained to me beforehand; the procedure went smoothly, and the aftercare steps were clearly presented. I felt very comfortable with the way everything went. read more

I'm only writing this review because I want to warn others. I made an appointment for a cancer screening. The appointment went seemingly okay. I had 3 questionable spots, 2 were biopsied and 1 was supposed to be frozen off. Unfortunately I forgot about that until I was on my way home, and apparently so did the doctor because she didn't do it. At the appointment she told me I had rosacea and she would be sending a script in. This was Friday 9/5/24. I waited until Tuesday and left a message to tell them I had not got the prescription and that the 3rd spot on my face was not froze off as the doctor had said she would do. Then I left another message that Friday. I called over the next several weeks and left a total of 8 messages. Then I was pretty mad, because it had been almost a month and they said they would call with the results of the biopsy and that was well over the 2 weeks they said it would take. They told me over and over they call no matter what the results are when they got them. I called the appointment line this last time and got a human so I could explain the situation in hopes they could connect me to someone. They did, and I got transferred to someone at the front desk. They did not acknowledge my concerns and I was told my results were in and they had called on the 24th. I said well if they did they should have left a message, which they did not. She said she could not give me the results and someone would call me by the end of the day. Obviously no one called, because they clearly don't care about anything at that office. But like magic, an hour after that call my pharmacy let me know a prescription was called in and I got an email that my results were in the portal which were hard to read and I had to decipher them myself. Not only is this clearly a business that no one is running, no one there cares. After the fact I also started researching rosacea and found out this is a lifelong condition that has all kinds of nuances and patient education was definitely required. Whoever this may reach, do not make the same mistake I did and use this practice. They could not possibly be any less competent. I will add I am in the medical field which makes it even more astonishing. read more

First off if you could even get them to answer the phone within the first 20 minutes of your call you're lucky. I went and had an x-ray in advance and the girl at the imaging center told me I probably would have to make another appointment as there was not enough time for the doctor to receive the report. OK so I called them after waiting 20 minutes for them to answer the phone and ask them about my appointment oh, you should be fine. They told me if anything changes if we don't get the report will let you know. Long story short nobody called me. I show up for my appointment. It's been canceled. You need to make another appointment I'm like wait you were supposed to call me and tell me ? There was no call there was no message left. They literally wasted my day and could have cared less.! I saw PA Arielle Rought at the Debary Advanced Dermatology Office, July 19. Arielle has a wonderful "office" demeanor. She always puts me at ease, explains upcoming procedures, remembers my comments (like I need another prescription or could we "measure and watch" a bothersome benign spot). Because, I have a long history of skin cancers and pre-cancers, I truly appreciate the kind, professional, and personal care I receive by the staff and medical personal at Advanced Dermatology. Arielle and Kerry, her office nurse, make a great team. I appreciate both of them, and they both make my office visits pleasant. read more

What a horrible fraud! Took my daughter there (we are new to the area, so didn't know where to go and that place was close to our new home). From the beginning, it was obvious that the staff had no idea what they were doing. Charged us $60 for a visit- couldn't explain to us what was wrong with our child and didn't even bother to call in the prescription afterwards (which they assured as twice would be called in). A week of trying to reach someone in the office- still no prescription and not even a callback. We have moved on at this point and found a different office. If you are looking for a dermatology office who does not have incompetent nimrods working there- this is not the office for you. Keep looking! read more

Very disappointed. We called to see a Dermatologist. We were assured would see one. Instead we were seen diagnosed and biopsied by a physicians assistant. We returned in 10 days specifically to have stiches removed by a nurse and told we would get our biopsy report via email. In other words, we never saw a dermatologist. Meanwhile we made our own diagnosis via Google, and have been treating it successfully without the benefit of a biopsy. I have yet to receive the bill for that. So much for going to see a dermatologist. I sense practicing medicine without a license. I wonder what Medicare will say about this type of care? You see Im a retired physican myself. i saw all of my patients myself, and I have a problem with bait and switch medical care! read more

Very easy to make appointments. Everyone in my family has used Advanced Dermatology for different reasons. They're helpful for patients to afford medication. They gave us several samples of my daughter's medicine. And instructions to tape on the wall. read more

I had my nose treated for what was called by the attending P.A., a lesion. It required five visits. At the second visit I was given a prescription for Fluorourcil which destroys cells. The fourth visit was described in the billing statement as "Destroy benign/premalig lesion 1st". The cream was applied by me as outlined on the medication beginning with the second visit. At no time did the attending P.A. do anything to the affected area on my nose. The fifth visit was for "Destroy benign/premalig lesion, 2nd-14". I submitted my insurance info (I have three) and that was all I heard for two years except for them trying to get me to consent to an all-over body scan, which I declined to do. I received three statements for a total of five visits with a copay due, beginning in June of 2018, two years out from the original visits. I called their billing question number four times over a two month period and on the final try they finally returned the call. My insurance carriers require submission of charges within one year. What am I supposed to do with a bill that is two years old? Timely submissions are required by insurance companies and should be expected by patients from the care giver. That is not the case with this practice. I will never use them again and will make this known to everyone else. By the way. A few years ago while being treated at one of their facilities, an elderly gentleman who had been waiting for almost one hour in a treatment room told a tech that he could not be kept waiting much longer. One of the doctors told the tech to "let him leave, we have plenty of patients". read more

This is worse Dr. office I have ever been to. They are very unprofessional. My appointment was at 3:20 and I still hasn't been called at 4:30. I went to the receptionist twice and they would say the nurse has your chart. Needless to say I requested my copay back. I will NEVER visit this office again. read more

My son went to this location because he had a mole that appeared and they had him come back twice and wouldn't biopsy it and said they want to see the color change before they come back in the meantime he gave them our insurance card and he was supposed to be paying with a debit card from our insurance company for the co-pay they charged the debit card the full amount and we called them and they said they were going to refund it but only for the first charge not the second one they needed to wait till they got paid from the insurance company first for one they're not supposed to charge the debit card my son gave them the insurance card that supposed to bill insurance and we are only supposed to be paying the co-pay to say the least they still have not refunded the first and our insurance Company won't allow us to use our debit card until we get this straightened out so we have to pay all co-pays out of pocket now because of this establishment very shady business. read more

Where do I begin? I had an appt at 9:50am and I arrived at 9:45am. I realize I may have cut it too close. But I wasn't acknowledged for paperwork until 10:22am and was done filling utmost at 10:26am. I wasn't called for my 9:50am appt until 10:45am. I guess if a patient wants to be seen at their respective appt time they must arrive 50 minutes prior. I stood at the counter for quite some time before someone realized I was there and took my paperwork. I saw Janet the PA. I laid eyes on her file the 1st time at 10:55 am. In my opinion she was great. The 3 stars is for her and 1 front desk person. They really need to learn how to schedule patients and not double book appts. read more

I have been coming here for one year now and they are so horrible they mess up on my account and then the bill get sent to the wrong address for 5 month and plus on top of that they told me they can fix my issues but it still was not fix do not go there all the care about is your Insurance and money customer service very poor . read more

My family has been seen at both the Enterprise Rd (OC/DeBary) and the Boston Ave (Altamonte Springs) locations. I do not know how others have reviewed either location as anything other than a 5 star service. Dr. Youngmann is polite, professional, and patient. The office staff is clearly running on high octane efficiency and also polite and professional. I would highly recommend either office location. read more

Let me start with the unprofessional staff. Last month I had blood work done for my accutane. The nurse comes to the front desk, in a full waiting room and starts advising me that my blood work showed some sign of infection. She then goes on to say it could be a urinary tract infection or yeast infection and I needed to be checked. I thought there was something called "HIPAA LAW" which she just violated. Then I have Doctor Youngman who rushes through my visit and doesn't answer any of my questions. His motto is wait until you're done with the treatment. I'm depressed with these bumps and craters on my face and when I reach out for any information I get treated as if my questions aren't valid. Due to this, I changed to Dr Arielle thank god for her. She advised me to change my face washing products and advised me of another regimen....and low and behold my face has cleared dramatically. Today I called asking for an appointment, I was put on hold for 13 minutes. I hang up and call again and I'm transfered to a phone that rang off the hook. Can't wait for my last month of treatment to finish with these unprofessional people. read more

Waited for 50 minutes before asking if they forgot about me...since people who came after me where entering ahead of me...because seeing other doctors. Waited another 20 minutes to see a lady who came way after me go in...and as she goes in the nurse confirms the doctor is Yungmann. I left, but who pays for my time? If you decide to get a facial here, it would be best to get a written cost estimate first. Also get a copy of the follow up instructions BEFORE your treatment. Find out the ingredients of the "facial" (which may turn out to be a chemical peel with significant recovery time) in case it contains harsh chemicals. She may try to sell you on additional steps after you get on the table. She'll expect a tip afterward, too. Never again. read more

Wow, where do I start. My dermatologist retired and therefore made an appt. with Dr. Yungman for my yearly skin exam. I never had to 'strip' down before and was not comfortable doing so, but wore baggy pants and was willing to take my top off. Dr. entered room and wanted me to 'strip' down to underwear, I did so and wrapped myself in the paper garment. Took exactly 15 seconds. Meanwhile he went on to the next patient leaving me in a very cold room with a paper gown wrapped around me. I was holding back tears as I was soooo cold, I would give him 5 more minutes and then would get dressed and leave. Shortly before his time was up, he came in the room. I did not find him as thorough as my previous dermatologist was. When I got home I realized I had forgotten to ask him for a script for Retin A as I have been using this on my face for several years and renew each year. Have been trying on and off for at least 2 weeks to contact the office for a prescription. My calls either ends up in another office or nobody answers and I go from one answering machine to another, leave messages and never getting called back. I even stopped in the office, but the Dr. wasn't in that day and I wasn't even allowed to talk to a nurse. Also checked with my pharmacy to see if someone from the office called the script in (before posting this review). Nope, no surprise there. I will get this through my Dr.'s office when I see him in January and will be picking another dermatologist for next years exam. read more

I've been a long term skin cancer patient and was forced to use this practice as my usual Dermatologist was not on my insurance plan. Each time I went, Dr. Yungman did not do a complete skin cancer check up of which I need every 6 months. The last 2 times I was horribly misdiagnosed regarding an area I had on my upper lip. The first time, he said it was Dermatitis of some sort and gave me some cream. I reluctantly used the cream as again, I've had so many areas frozen and/or cut throughout my life. I went back a 2nd time, and waited 1 1/2 hours past my appt. time to see the Dr. I saw him finally and he freezes the area this time but not like my other Dr. would have frozen it. Also, no appts. for follow up??? Absurd! Anyway, thank goodness we obtained another plan that my regular Dermatologist was on and got into see him in January. Ends up, he did 5 biopsies, 2 of which were on my face (lip and forehead) and the one on my forehead was positive for squamous cell carcinoma, and the lip was positive for basal cell carcinoma. I had surgery on my forehead this week and am scheduled for MOHs surgery on my lip. Since seeing Dr. Yungman, the area of concern on my lip had spread and now wondering if it was due to his bordering on malpractice in my opinion, if it could have been taken care of without me now having to go through MOHs surgery. My advice? STAY AWAY! read more
