The eye exam was good. But the front desk service was unaccommodating and rude. Upon receiving my new glasses, the lower bifocal for near distance was focused at about 8 inches from my face. During the exam I expressed to the optometrist that I intended to use the near distance lens for my laptop. I explained to the front desk clerk that the focus being 8 inches from my face was not acceptable and wanted to have the near distance focus extended out to 20 inches. They refused to correct the lenses OR provide a full refund. This isn't the first time I have had a bad experience with Advanced Eye Care. Never again! read more

I had the best experience here. Even before my appointment the office staff listened to my concerns and eye problems. The day of the appointment they sent a text reminder and the girl who did the eye tests was amazing and very personable while taking down my medical history. I didn't wait long before the doctor entered. He was very good at the eye exam and very educational on what my eye issues were and what would fix them. Then the woman who set me up with my new frames and lenses was so really a God sent. She worked with me to make sure I had the best experience. I wish I could give 1/2 a star. This office is staffed by the rudest and laziest folks I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with and I will make sure everyone knows not to use them. They rarely answer their phone and when they do, they can't be bothered to help. We are with the military overseas and we could not have them email me my prescription, due to hippa, but also refused to mail it to me because they said it was over a year old (July 2021). I already paid for the prescription. When we were trying to pay back in July 2021, they had issue that my mailing address was at an army base in Europe and that caused some issues. read more

His staff stated that it is his requiments, the only way he would give her a copy was a $15 charge, which is illegal. Drs have to give you a copy of your RX! Worst service ever. They make you wait a long time, just to give you a run around on small issues. I received my glasses 2 weeks ago, and one lense developed one deep scratch, they refused to help me fix it... they told me I had to purchase not 1 but both of the lenses at $140 dollars.... because that small scratch was unfixable... Total robbery..... won't ever recommend, or spend another dollar in this dump. read more

I was looking forward to find a eye doctor where i can settle and continue with my routine eye visits but to be honest i came out of there unhappy. First of all, the receptionists are not friendly at all unless they know the patient, second, one of the receptionist wouldn't look at me when she was giving me information about my insurance, i thought she was talking to her co worker next to her since she kept talking and staring at her computer monitor. Very unprofessional! Then Dr. Goldstein or Dr. Gold (I forgot her name) she was not friendly at all, she did the exam and didn't even show me the pictures that were taken of the back of my eyes, she didn't even ask if i had any questions, i am NOT returning here! We liked the doctor just fine but the receptionists and billing staff is rude and inaccurate. They filed my daughter's claim under my name which messed up my eye exam and contact payment. After 3 months of bills from them, I called my insurance and nothing had been done by the office to correct their mistake. I went by yesterday only to learn that they expect $30 because I ordered six months of contact lenses instead od 12 months worth which caused them more work. I will not spend another nickel with these rude people. read more

I have been with Warren since he opened his business. He has been extremely helpful in helping my whole family and many friends. He is always spot on with his exams and his staff is very friendly and supportive. With Dr. Gold in the office they have grown even more. He uses the latest technology and is always going the extra mile in staying up to date with the latest and best training for he and his staff. I first went to Advanced Eye Care in March 2022. I had my yearly eye exam and a contact exam. It went well and I placed an order for contacts. In May 2022, I decided to get a pair of glasses to have on hand as backup. I tried a few times to get them through Advanced Eye Care, but wait times were always long. I opted to go to Walmart and get a cheap pair there since I didn't need anything fancy. When they arrived, I noticed the prescription was too strong. Went back to Walmart and it was correct to my prescription. I called Advanced Eye Care and brought in the glasses as they asked. They checked them as well. I was told Walmart made them wrong, I should return them, and get glasses through Advanced Eye Care. I agreed and put in an order for a pair of glasses. When they arrived, once again the prescription was too strong. I called Advanced Eye Care and they told me to come in. I did the following day. They checked the glasses (prescription was right), so they scheduled me a re-examination the next day. I found out my eyes couldn't handle the prescription as written, so it was changed. They were able to cut the lenses during the visit, so I waited. Shortly after I got them back and tried them on. I told the guy who gave me them that they still seemed too strong. He said to try them out for a bit and call if I had issues. End of June, I am still unable to wear them. They are too strong and I am unable to focus on anything while wearing them. I called back. Explained I had already been in multiple times and not having a good outcome with glasses. I asked if it would be possible to get a refund since the prescription for the glasses clearly isn't working for me and I am unable to use them. I was told no and since I had already had a re-examination there was nothing more they could do to help me. I am literally stuck with a pair of glasses that I have no use for and out a good amount of money! I told the technician on the phone, I literally have an expensive paper weight now because they are useless and she agreed. If I am unable to use them with the prescription they are providing, something is wrong. Sad they don't guarantee their prescriptions or glasses. Yesterday I walked into my former eye care office to get my prescription for my contacts and glasses and was refused my contact lens prescription unless I paid a fee, which is not legal to charge for. Instead of receiving my prescription, I was called classless- for no good reason by Dr. brasher. At that point, I picked up my phone to begin recording because I realized this doctor was not treating me good and this was not legal. He immediately lowered his voice once I began recording but it didn't stop him from calling me classless, yet again. My goal wasn't to cause anyone trouble. My goal was to get new glasses and contacts. The contacts I was sold aren't working out for me, I want to shop around for new ones. But I have never been provided with my prescription and that is not legal. I'm taking every bit of action I can. read more

I love the care I receive when I visit Dr. Brasher at Advanced Eye Care. They always listen to me with respect. I know I am in great hands. The receptionist tried telling me that I had to pay a much higher amount than my insurance requires. She said my insurance, according to her computer, would not pay for contacts. I told her that it was the same insurance that I used last year and I didn't pay anything for contacts. She insisted I was wrong based on what she pulled up on the screen. So I left and looked up my insurance which says it covers up to $500 on Contacts. So instead of arguing that she was right, maybe she should have called my insurance company. So I took off of work to get an eye exam and glasses/ contacts and instead got a bad attitude from the receptionist. I will not be going back!!! read more

Dr. Brasher from Advanced Eye Care in San Angelo, TX acted VERY UNPROFESSIONALLY to call me on my cell phone to tell me that my husband and I are "low class" people for giving him a bad review when I was stating the facts on the FB page. I had NEVER in my life had a "professional" person call me this and HE is supposed to CARE about people and their vision which is SO important to them. Why would they have a FB page if people can't voice their opinions of their service?? I think he was mostly made because we had to go see a specialist and HE got the prescription right when Dr. Brasher couldn't even after we went back 3-4 times! I am VERY disappointed in their service and will NEVER go back. After I told him this, he said "Thank You for never coming back" and hung up on me! read more

The staff think they know it all. Rude and to expensive just for an eye exam.They tried to double dip with our insurance. Had to call the insurance more then 1x to be sure. Yes they try to get more money for services. Went back again since its the only place that takes our insurance, and this time they tried it again charging for serves the insurance covers. Took them 2 months to make a pair of glasses after lots of complaints and calling the insurance and to have them 3 way the call to fix it all. Very bad place to go. Not worth the time or head ach we had to deal with. Never again. If the staff was not rude or morons it would be bearable but not with morons and rude staff. read more
