Had one of the worst experience with these guys. 1. Booked their service post inspection by their guy for September. material delivered 3 days after and installation has to happen within 15 days. Material arrived a day later as per schedule. Not a big deal. 2. Installation didn't happen in 15 days, no communication. After that received a message twice that it will begin the other day, but no one turned up and no one informed either. -- Unprofessional 3. I started following up with sales guy and company. Sales guy, by mistake sent me an internal mail where he referred me in Not-So-Friendly manner. I kept my cool. -- Rude 4. Finally turned in November 1st week only to tell me that they cant complete because of lack of labor and snow on the roof. Finally scheduled and came for installation in November last week. Despite snow on the roof, asked me to trust them (biggest mistake) and gave me in writing that company will be responsible for any damage to home and personal. Started roof work. -- Tardy 5. I was told they will be putting up tarps and cleaning everything using magnet for nails leaving no mess behind. Yet i noticed only my driveway was covered with tarp, ran their truck right till my front door (on my front lawn) while there was hardly any tarp anywhere else. When asked, I was told they would do proper cleanup. I will let the pics speak for themselves for the rest. -- Not trustworthy 6. Within 1 month of installation, my kitchen chimney started leaking heavily (this is renovated home and inspected twice within 12 months of this service, no complaints of attic rain either) We discovered, the kitchen vent pipe was cut and was blowing air in attic which caused icicles formation in the attic and condensation across roof. Called in, but no response. -- Irresponsible 7. Next day an inspector comes in and he confirmed that probably while installing the roof, they accidently cut the vent pipe. We found similar condition in garage where pipe was not even connected to vent and was left wide open. Resulting in heavy attic rain and huge icicles formation. he applied duct tape as temporary solution -- Lethargic attitude 8. Then starts a long and tiring conversation with these guys to make them understand that they caused this. instead they came with heavy lectures about attic rain and absolutely disgust behavior of talking rudely and ignoring you. -- Worst After Service 9. After months of followup, they send in a guy only to remove duct tape and put rubber bands. Ill let the pic speak for itself. On demanding a proper fix, i was ignored and threatened. -- Goons I m sure to sue them if any of the metal pins or any other debris hurt my kids or anyone on my property. Also i took a loan to get a better roof, but all i got was months of horrible experience and probably more troubles. If you ever want to consider them for any service, better burn that money and that way it will be less painful. Horrible and worst business people I ever came across. read more

I waited 3 months for Advanced Level Roofing to show up and complete my roof only to find that they have done damage to another portion of my roof that they told me they're incapable of repairing. The mess on my property as well as on both of my neighors' was never cleaned up and the damage to my brand new front porch was dismissed. I particularly enjoyed the patronizing speech from the lead of the roofing crew about how my chimney pipe which they stepped on and broke, leaving a sizable hole in my flat roof, was "like that when they arrived" and was not a chimney pipe, despite it leading to my old coal furnace. Not to worry - they assured me that the roof was definately completely sealed. The rain storm in my upstairs hallway tells a different story. Thanks ALR for reaffirming my understanding that construction companies are sexist AND incompetent. I'll send you the bill for my repairs, unless you feel that you have a member of your team who can conduct themselves in a decent fashion who has the compentency to repair the mistakes your team has made. I wish I could give them 0 stars. Be warned if you need a new roof and are thinking of hiring them. I got a few quotes and asked neighbors about their experience with Advanced in the Spring, read some online reviews, and looked at the reviews of their products line, I asked questions. In Fall 2021, I was ready to get a new roof so I finally decided to hire Advanced Level Roofing. In September I contacted them for a new quote that included my garage. It was difficult to get a response from them but finally Brady sent me a quote, which I accepted. They wanted a 50% deposit and I transferred that as soon as I could. When I first contacted them in September, they had said 4-6 weeks and felt that was still within an acceptable window to do a roof in Calgary. We are a bit rushed because we can get snow at any time but the weather was nice. Weeks went by and I couldn't get a response from Brady about when they were coming. Then I got a phone call that he messed up my quote, using the wrong garage and wanted another $1,300 from me. Against my better judgment, I agreed to pay for half of that. Shortly after that, people showed up and dumped supplies on my roof and into my yard. They had promised to call before doing that. If they had, I would have cancelled because I was so frustrated by then by the lack of response, how late in the year it was getting, and wanting more money. While delivering supplies, they were bashing on my roof with some sort of tool and being extremely rough so I messaged Brady to see if they were trying to do damage to my roof in an attempt to get more money. This all felt so shady and it turns out it was. They proceeded to not talk to me for a month despite my many attempts to get an install date. Brady promised a few times that it would be done the following week but then no one showed up. Finally, by mid November, it was clear they had no intention of doing the work in good faith and were being very disrespectful. I had told them a few times at this point that I am disabled. I was hoping that they wouldn't take advantage of me knowing that because I have had such bad experiences with contractors in Calgary. During this time period, my parents had their roof and two garage roofs done. They called a roofer weeks after I hired Advanced Level Roofing, their roof was done and when high winds blew off two shingles, their roofer was there in 10 minutes to fix it. I realized there was no chance I was going to get this kind of service from Advanced given my problems just getting a quote and a roof installed. I had no faith in them at all. Through a series of emails with the VP of Operations, where they made lots of excuses and tried to blame me for a lack of communication (insert eye roll here), I told them that we had called my parents roofing company to see if they would install the shingles. my parents' roofer asked me who I had hired and when we told them, they explained that this is the only company in Calgary that is really taking advantage of people, especially single women. They outlined all the steps Advanced Level Roofing takes to play their game right down to dumping supplies on the roof and then disappearing for a month. He went on to explain the steps I might try to get them to do the work. Why would I want them to do the work now? They clearly can't be trusted and I am not interested in playing games with anyone. So I told them, in writing, that I wanted them to return my full deposit since they never intended to do the work, and then they could make an appointment to pick up their supplies. They responded telling me my only options are to either pay the remaining amount on the supplies and find someone else or to pay them another $1,000 to come get their supplies. I have no way to verify if all the supplies they are billing me for are here and there is no way I am paying them to come get their supplies when they did not call first before dumping them. I have zero faith that they would ever respond to a claim either. Do not hire or trust this company! I have made a report to the BBB now and am waiting for them to return my deposit and then come pick up their crap. If they ever come onto my property again without permission, I will call the police. These people are shady and do not deserve your money. They took full advantage of a disabled person who cannot work. That is the lowest of low. Sometimes when you play games with people, you lose. They need to take the small loss; return my deposit and come take their supplies. Then we could part ways and I have the loss of not having a new roof this Fall when I really needed one. In addition to that, I have all the stress and time spent trying to resolve this. I will be calling for legal advice also. These people are horrible, do not trust them. There are so many roofing companies in Calgary, hire someone else. Never hire Advanced Level Roofing. read more
