Ellen does medical massage therapy, which is specific to your injury. She is very highly trained and skilled. It's NOT routine massage. I go to her when I have more of a medical issue with my muscles, joints and ligaments. I fell and did pulled some muscles in my arm, she worked with the muscles and put athletic tape on it in such a way as to support healing. I wore it for 3 days, and then took it off as directed. It helped a lot. My arm felt much better afterwards, and I feel it healed faster. A couple years later I pulled a muscle in my leg, I could hardly walk. She worked with it, and I was able to walk normally out of her office. I highly recommend her. She's extremely good. She's expensive, but you get what you pay for. Top quality. Buyer beware!!!! I want to be fair in my review. Ellen sold me on her service. I paid in advance per her policy. I was in alot of pain when I walked in. After her service I felt much better. However, I felt she really did not want me as a client. Sometimes that happens in life. Not only was I satified with her services she convienced me to make a follow up appointment and pay in advance. On the day of my apointment she called me to say in a nice way I missed my appointment and I was considered a no call no show. I explained to her again I was having problems with my heart and I was sick. I asked to reschedule. She said I would have to pay $190 to schedule another appointment. She said she takes no excuse for no call no show. Even if I am having difficulity breathing. Her business is so unstable she cannot afford a no call no show for any reason. She made it very clear she did not want me as a client. In fairness from her five star reviews most of her happy clients do not look like me. She could have not taken my money if she really did not want me to be her client. Therefore, I suggest you beware. She does a good job but she will not hesitate to take your money and not provide service even if you have difficulty breathing. read more

This is a great massage place, and I don't mean for Carrollton. This will still be great if located in a big city. Ellen really knows her stuff - she teaches at WGTC - and has been practicing massage for many years. I;m pregnant and Ellen has helped me with my back pain tremendously. Ellen is the best! She will listen to you and listen to your body. I love working out and in my past I have been very hard on my body playing sports. Ellen really is one of the best massage therapist in Carrollton, or anywhere (and I lived in several different cities, large and small). The spa doesn't have the "energy" of other spas (the fake peacefulness?), because it really is massage therapy: massage as health treatment, massage for improving specific problems, not massage as mere (and vague) "wellness". She has many years of training, and if she seems like a know it all, it probably is because she does know all there's to know about therapeutic massage. If you want the candles, the soft whispers, the incense, the employees dressed like angelic beings, this is not the place for you. read more

I could have gotten a better massage at Massage Envy for half the price and not had to deal with the owner's rude know it all attitude.
