I went here for about a year after my previous doctor ran out of treatment options. They started…read morewith facet injections which were helping but only for a short while and they were quite painful. When I started asking for other options they got aggressive and started giving me pills and telling me that this is just how life is with chronic pain. I got scheduled with a new doctor and felt he was being rude (interrupting me, ignoring what I said) so I made sure to request my regular doctor for appointments, however every time I came in after that I was told I would be seeing the more rude doctor instead. They sold me a back brace that they said was covered by my insurance but it wasn't - it took hours of phone calls to get APM's billing department to updating the billing to show it as a medically necessary item instead of an optional medical accessory. They were nice at first after a few visits I felt like a number. By the end I was being treated with hostility and judgement while being charged through the nose for everything. They made me feel like a burden and impressed upon me that I was going to be at that pain level for my entire life no matter what. I later learned that the technique that was being used for my facet injections wasn't very precise, which is why they were so painful. I have never heard a good thing about this place and wish I had never stepped foot in their clinic.

However, I am allergic to many medications. He gave me a prescription to something I am allergic to. I pointed that out. His response was shocking. He said " That's not something I deal with. Its this or nothing. " I have recently found out that that office is being investigated for malpractice. Good luck if you go there.

Dr. John Joseph did NOT listen to me at all. After seeing him several times he thought I was…read moreseeking treatment for my back. I had to remind him at two separate visits I was not here for my back, but I have severe disk disease in my neck. He performed an acupuncture treatment the week before for what he thought was back pain. When I came in for my next visit he asked if my back pain improved. I was confused and said " my back", he replied " I thought you were he for back pain". He also was very offended when I told him the acupuncture treatment he did caused increasing pain and flu like symptoms for 3 days. He told me that was not possible, implying I was lying. After establishing care with another Dr. that performed acupuncture (specifically targeting my NECK) that Dr. said it is known that acupuncture can put your body into a healing crisis as your body releases toxins. I have no idea why Dr. Joseph got so defensive. I was respectful and pleasant, the exact opposite of him.

When we moved back to Green Bay four years ago I tried to find a pain doctor that would continue my treatment. I had no success. I tried Bellin, Aurora and Prevea. All they wanted to do is take me off the meds that had been working for me for years. They made remarks to me that were very hurtful. Finally someone recommended a doctor that was independent from the big corporations, Dr. John Joseph. When I went for my first appointment I found him to be very kind and sympathetic. He listened carefully to what I said and after getting the records from my Florida doctor, he agreed to continue my medication that had worked so well. I can't describe the relief that I felt when he said this. He has managed my back pain for over a year now and I can live a normal life. Everyone in the office is friendly and kind, always. I recommend this pain management clinic to anyone who suffers from pain and cannot find relief.

I have the utmost respect and appreciation for you, not only for your expertise but also for the way you care for your patients. Thank you for making such a positive difference in my life. He is worth following anywhere. He is the only doctor that listens to me, stays in contact with my rheumatologist and primary care doctor and works with them seamlessly. I have never ever in my life had a doctor in any field work with others to take such good care of me. The staff is fantastic as well. His wife works in the office once in a while so it's great to see her! And Mary and Stephanie are terrific. They keep on Doc when he needs to get something done for me, they are amazing about returning calls, and tell me that it's no bother when I call more than once a day. To be honest, I live in fear of the day he retires. No one will fill his shoes!

When I got to his office and parked. I got out of my vehicle to a bloody tampon in the parking lot. I walked past that and into the front door to outdated furniture in the lobby. I went to the desk to check in and they didn't know I had an appointment and could not find my paperwork. When they finally found my paperwork and got me checked in I waited quite a while in the wiring room in extreme pain. When I finally got to talk to the Dr he was very dismissive and condescending. He told me I think about pain too much and if I just don't think about it...it will go away. I have been in pain since 1996 when I had my first surgery and thd pain has gradually got worse. What a complete joke. If you are looking to manage your pain with a doctor that has compassion PLEASE STEER CLEER OF THIS PLACE. IT IS A JOKE!!!!

This review is for the office manager at the clinic on doctor's court Oshkosh. I have seen Dr…read moreJoseph in the past over a year and a half ago. Tbh it didn't go well to say the least. The nurse at the time, Courtney, felt bad for me and actually gave me a referral to a Dr that left that practice. Dr Albala in Appleton. Currently I still see him but a problem recently occurred and he still hasn't acknowledged that my explanation is even possible to this day. Too crazy of a story to even get into. Anyway I decided to make an appointment with Dr Joseph once again and figured I have nothing to lose at this point. To my amazement and I mean amazement the office manager answered the phone and I ended up talking her ear off. She was so knowledgeable and more importantly, understanding and compassionate. My story is so complex and I have a series of health problems currently. Everything from a black left foot, recent kidney stone surgery(11mm and yes worst pain ever), to a mass in my right flank(praying it's not the big C). Aurora wanted to do ER surgery and take my appendix out along with some of my large intestines. Thank god I asked questions and stopped them from proceeding but unfortunately I still have the mass. Anyway this young gal listened and let me ramble for more than an hour. I even said I'm sure you don't want to hear what I've been through. She said no please continue. Anyway, I swore she was a doctor. She gave me more information than every specialist I have seen in the past. Even diagnosed my left black foot and she may be right. Mind you this is all over the phone. I just called to get an appointment and said my story is complicated but since I'm trying to clear my good name I wanted an opportunity to do it with Dr Joseph as well. She proceeded to coax my entire health history out of me and honestly I'm searching the internet next to see if she may be right. What a wonderful gal and smart to say the least. I've been there before and honestly barely ever had a conversation with her. I just thought she was going through the daily grind. She should seriously consider doing something else to help people because she has a gift. I'll find out her name and add it at a later time. For now I hope she calls me back like she said she would after she speaks with Dr Joseph. My fingers are crossed and I'm excited that maybe she was correct about my black foot at least. I'd like to thank her is why I'm leaving this review and she also must think I'm crazy because I told her I loved her before I hung up. lol. I'm serious though what a good person. If you know whom I'm talking about and had a similar experience you said leave a review as well. Most people only right negative reviews but should also take the time when someone does something exceptional. Thank you office manager. You have no idea how you changed my mind that there still are some genuine, caring people left in this crazy a$$ world.
