3yrs of being a patient and enduring nothing but rudeness, incompetent staff and absolutely no bed side manner from the majority of the medical staff, I was "voided" (a term they use to say see ya) as a patient because of a failed drug screen( Im so angry over this!). There is a good physician that I really liked, Dr. Plowly, he took time with you, he listened as I spoke, answered questions, just very kind. The problem is seeing a doctor is very rare! I'm glad to be done with APM, but I will greatly suffer without medication.
The office is like herding cattle in and out as fast as possible! You rarely seen a doctor, you are treated by PA's, there is one PA that is amazing, kind, soft spoken, smiles when talking and makes eye contact, she listens to ur every word, she is the only one! God help you if you get Caitlyn! She is condescending when she speaks to, almost with a smirk on her face, she is rude and speaks over you, when you ask questions she appears annoyed and doesn't hear a word you say. When she exams you, well let's just say"what examination?" It takes 2 minutes. She is by far the worst PA I've ever encountered! If you break a "rule" and ur seeing Caitlyn she will scold you as if you were a child! APM has very strict rules if you're prescribed narcotics, you must sign a contract on ur 1st visit, those rules have a fluctuations, you may think you're following the rules, but then you'll get a surprise scolding. I have always followed the rules, but they can be very confusing. Then you hear "we have a problem"! There are other PA's in the practice, they truly try/want to help, except Caitlyn! I would avoid her at all cost APM can "void" you as a patient at anytime they see fit! You are drug tested every 2 months on average( depending on if your seen monthly or every 2 months)you must pass according to the rules, you must get your medication from a specific pharmacy that APM uses, no exceptions, and a pill count on every visit. My drug screens for the past 3 yrs were perfect, I NEVER had a failing drug test until recently! The results in the test were absurd! The test was positive for all kind of drugs, drugs I did not take, I didn't even know what most of them were! I firmly believe that their lab REALLY screwed up somehow, they refused to listen, I pleaded with them to redo it, they flatly said no! I was "voided" as a patient and that was it, then it was thrown in that I can still be a patient there but I cannot be treated with any medication...they still want your money, I don't think so! I have no recourse, it's a final decision! I don't know what to do now I'm literally between a rock and a hard place, and APM doesn't care at all!FYI...I'm as about as honestł as they come, if I had taken something other than my prescription, I would have told them, I'm not a moron! . I'm sure a lot of patients try to bamboozle them just to get pain meds, NOT me, after 3 years, come on NOW.... most patients there are honestly and are seeking help! Then I mentioned human error with the drug screen, I believe it's some else's, things like this occur all the time, they stated " not in their lab" According to APM there is NO human error in the practice, that's laughable! If I took all listed meds that were + I would most certainly be dead! I was in shock I just stated to cry and pleaded to no avail. I was just kicked to the curb. I have very severe/ serious Heath problems and this situation was completely outrageous, and upsetting beyond belief and their comment "oh well, you'll be fine"! Oh, really, I'll be fine NO, I WONT BE FINE! My scheduled appointments were never in the computer, it was chaos to fix it! Then there were 2 times I paid in cash then I was billed months down the road ( only when I paid cash) when I no longer had receipt, again no recourse. I/ my insurance was billed for procedures that I never received, medical testing invoices sent to my insurance were coded wrong several times resulting in payment declined, which resulted in time consuming phone calls which I had to handle on my own time! When you need to speak with a nurse, medical billing and records etc you must leave a message and wait for a return call and at times it was a 24hr wait, forget any emergencies, you're better off going to the E/R. Ppl in the waiting room complained about the practice constantly, most were so frustrated with the wait time and the way they were treated by staff, but desperation sent them there, so, in turn, they have to suffer dealing with this office because they really have no other choice! This office is all about making money, not the patient and they are making it! They push for procedures to be done, many are unsuccessful, but hey, they got paid! would NOT recommend APM to anyone!
