Gastro AR decided to charge me a $50.00 no show fee, and I had never even signed any papers or gone to the clinic or even confirmed my appointment. I asked for this fee to be waived as a first-time courtesy, but they denied without even asking someone higher up. Needless to say, I do not want to do business of any kind with this type of facility. Do better. Things happen. We are real people with real lives and with real problems.

Upon my last visit in May, I noted a new addition to their team. Mr. Chris, at the Check-in window. He greeted me warmly and handled all my paperwork in a respectful and cheerful manner. I called and they had appointments available for the next few days, but told me the BCBS website was down so they could not schedule the appointment until it was back up so they could verify I had Insurance. They called a couple of hours later and said the website was back up and they could get me in almost a month from now because those appointments are all taken. So their policy that states they could not schedule without proof of active insurance has now made it to where I cannot get in to be seen for a month ( my insurance was active and I am a current patient). I think that this practice of not at least holding the appointment for at least a day to see if a website comes up, just shows the amount of callousness and fear of not getting paid, has taken over the health industry. This sickens me because now I have to start over and find another dermatologist group to continue my care. Who knows how many months that will be.
