I left a voicemail and two emails asking if we could chat about the situation before she responded 5 days later and she showed zero empathy or vested interest in us. She said that situation is a time for parenting, not speech therapy, and she just doesn't deal with it. We started speech therapy so that he can find his words and here was an opportunity to teach and I felt we were punished for the exact thing we were seeking her help to improve. I spoke to at least 4 other speech therapists to get their opinion and all of them said they would never just end a session like that (particularly because he wasn't throwing a tantrum--it was a single act of frustration and then he looked to her for a response and because of his age) and one even said RUN from that type of provider. At that point, the trust was gone and we ended all future services.

It took us a few months to master "up" and "in". Dr Waters told us from the beginning that our daughter will speak. One of our first goals was to pronounce two syllable words correctly in a year's period of time. We were there in six months. Dr Waters incorporated innovative sensory integration technique called PROMPT into our sessions and saw us 2-3 times per week. Now, two years later, my daughter utters 3-5-4 word sentences like "Mama how was your day?" and "what is this?". She even said lately "mama called and doctor said no monkey in the bed". Her speech and language continue to rapidly improve. Dr Waters is effective and passionate about what she does, always available to talk to, and truly cares about her patients. She goes well beyond your typical medical practice in presenting your child's case to the insurance, providing you with first class care and helping your child to develop its true potential. Loving, nurturing and stimulating environment provided by TDLD has made our twins independent, curious and sociable: we experienced the beauty of this when they were chosen to join Japanese immersion Montessori pre-school (ages 3 to 6) in our new location. Our twins were invited to interview at the Montessori school based on the personalized assessment (collection of work and ASQs) of twins as compiled by TDLD throughout their stay; we are extremely grateful for TDLD teachers and their diligence to document the child's progress from as early as infancy. Our twins' thirst for knowledge and confident well-balanced demeanor as inculcated by TDLD led to them being accepted to join the program after in-person assessment. We had the chance to go back and visit the school after a few months and our twins were so excited to meet all of their teachers (Danielle, Lisa, Becky, Tomoko, Elsa, Lynn, Susan, Aurora, Candy, Katy, Ashley, Cara, Yoko, Simin, Melina, Brennyn, Kim, Rosa, Liz, Brigid, Eigo) and chefs (Danial and Nathan); it was heart-warming to see their interaction with every single teacher at the school... When my baby was about 4 months old, I reached out to The Birthing Stone Doula for guidance, and I'm so glad I did. The set-up process was super easy. Tiffany quickly got back to me, asked a few questions through phone call, and matched me with Julia, one of their sleep coaches. From the very first home visit, Julia was incredible--kind, empathetic, and so knowledgeable. She helped me recognize when my daughter was self-soothing and gave me practical things to try. We set goals like easing daycare naps, learning to self-soothe, and adjusting to her crib. Throughout the process, Julia was always there--quick to respond, thoughtful in her answers, and endlessly encouraging. She gave me confidence to trust my instincts as a mom, while also teaching me tools to help my baby build healthy sleep habits. Within a few weeks, we met all our goals. I'm a first time mother who really had no idea what to expect with the labor and delivery experience. Here are the main points of what we knew we wanted for our birthing experience: *delivery at Legacy Meridian Hospital *labor as long as I could without any pain medication *make use of resources to be comfortable (medicine/peanut ball, jacuzzi, massages, essential oils, dim lighting...etc) *doula for support No judgements. Compassion. We interviewed one other doula before choosing Casey and Charli. Without hesitation I knew I had to have this awesome team to support me. They are incredibly warm and friendly with tons of knowledge and experience with the whole process (pregnancy to postpartum). I felt completely comfortable upon meeting them. One of the biggest reasons why we chose them was because we were guaranteed to see one of them on the big day. Other doulas are so busy with other clients that they may send someone else from their company to support you on your big day, and that was something I didn't feel comfortable with. Casey and Charli didn't make me feel like I was just a number to add to their list of births. They always listened and asked questions. The process was easy and accommodating: first contacted via e-mail, set up the first meeting, establish a contract and deposit, set up another meeting, maintain 24/7 contact throughout pregnancy, go through labor and delivery, pay balance, and postpartum appointment. Birthing Stone offers a lot of great classes, so take advantage of these! Casey and Charli had excellent communication throughout and a great, well-organized system down to support me at any moment. I opted to have a doula-in-training to attend my delivery as well. My delivery exceeded my expectations! I had a fast delivery and ended up not using any of the resources available at the hospital. Charli and the doula-in-training were supportive and helped me to focus on breathing and relaxing during my labor. Charli made me feel like a super woman! She tied my hair back and not only worked with the medical team for me, but she made sure my husband was taken care of too. After my delivery, they checked up on me at home and helped me with any issues I had with breastfeeding. I like that they don't leave you hanging because there's SO much to this whole experience. Overall, I highly recommend Birthing Stone!! If you're looking for a doula team, this is it.

We went in for what turned out to be a severe ankle sprain. This was on a Monday late evening about…read more7:30 pm. The nurses and doctors were great. The front reception staff was not. They were abrupt and less than helpful when we asked about wait time. We were waiting for a x-ray and after an hour of waiting we asked if they knew when our son would be seen. The answer was you're in the right place they'll come get you. Come to find out they didn't have an x-ray tech and when he finally got the x-ray the doctor let us know she couldn't see an obvious break but we should see an orthopedic surgeon because she wasn't sure and there was no radiologist to give a conclusive diagnosis. By then it was 1:30 am. Turns out there was a high ankle sprain and a small fracture. The fact that it was a slow Monday didn't make a difference in the wait time or the lack of information.
