Dr. Karnavas is a very knowledgeable doctor. My daughter saw her for two separate issues and explained to her what was going on so that she could understand. She treated her with kindness and a lot of compassion knowing that she was in pain. She prescribed her medications and supplied her with orthotics. The medication started working almost immediately. Dr Karnavas in the Howland location is one of the best doctors I have ever been too. She immediately addressed my problem and explained why it was happening. A simple solution was given. I am happy my pain is gone. I highly recommend Dr Karnavas. After 3 doctors she was the first one to take the time to educate me, as well as treat my problem conservatively without surgery. Our experience with Dr. Diane Karnavas at the E. Market office was extremely upsetting. My 10-year-old daughter went in for an infected ingrown toenail. While we were seen quickly, that was the only positive part. Post treatment, we were never advised that an antibiotic cream had been called in. With an active infection, no oral antibiotics were prescribed either. By day 3, her toe was draining and clearly worsening. At the follow-up, instead of empathy or guidance, we were met with blame and confusion about aftercare instructions we were never given. Then, without warning or numbing, the doctor used a scalpel to debride the wound again as my daughter screamed in pain. Only afterward did she squirt medication directly into the open wound, which caused additional burning and irritation. My daughter left with chemical burns, repeated trauma to the area, and no sense that her pain mattered. We cancelled all future appts, do not recommend. read more

Dr. K has been our go to foot and ankle specialist for over 10 years. She is a brilliant physician, very personable, dedicated and a straight shooter! The staff at the Howland Office has always been amazing. Friendly, helpful and always on the ball. Yes, you will have a longer wait period then most doctors offices when you arrive for an appointment, but I don't mind waiting a little longer for one of the best and Dr. K is one of THE BEST! read more

I recently attended my first appointment at Advanced Podiatry's Howland, OH location, and I was unpleasantly surprised by the terrible experience. The receptionist and nurses seemed more concerned with socializing with each other than actually providing professional and friendly service to the doctor's clients. The nurse who assisted me very unprofessional and slightly rude. She rushed though my X-rays and complained about how she hates doing them. Once she was finished, she took me into a room to wait on the doctor. At this time, she decided to give me HER diagnosis of the problems with my feet (without looking at my X-rays). She clearly lacked the education needed to properly make a diagnosis; Needless to say she was completely wrong. Before she left the room she unsuccessfully tried to sell me $40 insoles for my shoes. Due to her ignorance, I refused the sale. She was extremely rude to me when I declined. The doctor was friendly, but seemed to spend most of my visit dancing around my actual issues. He suggested a few possibilities for treatment, and prescribed medication that I did not need and that I am unwilling to take. Overall, I would not recommend Advanced Podiatry's Howland, OH location to anyone, nor will I ever go back for another appointment. I will seek a more professional and friendly office for treatment. read more
