I never gave permission for this agency to store or process my personal or health information in their system. I had previously worked with an agent who is no longer with this agency, and due to a material life change, initiated a policy change and change to my agent of record in early June. Despite this, July 1, I received an email implying that this agency was still involved with my coverage and that a new agent had been assigned to me. Out of concern for my privacy and data security--particularly due to the sensitive nature of health insurance data--I submitted a formal written request to have all of my personal information removed from their systems and asked for a record of who had accessed it. I also requested any documentation they believe authorizes them to retain or use my information. To date, I have not received a response. However, I left a review similar to this one on Google Maps/Reviews to which they responded stating they "never access or use personal information without appropriate authorization". Having never given consent to ICT directly or indirectly, this statement is untrue and could be misleading to current and future customers. If you're in a similar position, I recommend verifying who currently manages your policy and, if necessary, requesting confirmation in writing. It's also reasonable to ask for your data to be removed if you no longer do business with them. I'm not alleging misconduct, but I believe consumers have a right to know where their information is and how it's being used. My goal is to ensure others are aware and empowered to take similar action if they choose.

I decided not to renew a State Farm rental policy for some rental property I sold to the tenant at a loss so he could be a first-time homeowner. State Farm "extended" the rental property policy without my approval. I just did not renew the policy since I no longer owned the property. I was under the impression that it is illegal to insure a house as the owner when you are not the owner of the property. Sounds like insurance fraud, but I am not a lawyer or law enforcement. Might as well insure all of the neighbor's homes and pay for the policies. Oh no State Farms quickly found a loophole and stated I had to inform them in writing that I was canceling the homeowner's policy. You mean I am not allowed to not renew the policy without sending you notice that I am not going to renew the policy? I will no longer do business with these types of people, or anyone associated with State Farm.
