June 2024, but the work was not completed until October 2025. I posted a (very reasonable, in my opinion) 1-star review to Google. Within 24 hours the company contacted me multiple times and threatened legal action and stated that the warranty on our project would be cancelled unless I removed or changed my review. I clarified that my name was not on the contract and that my review reflected my honest experience. The contact continued until I stated I would involve the police and the Better Business Bureau. After that, the company apologized and confirmed the warranty would remain in place. I am sharing this update because I believe it is important for potential customers to know not only about the project experience but also about the post-review communication I received.

Very disappointed in the quality provided by Paramount Construction. One foundation wall is…read morecompletely out of square, the quality of the concrete is poor and the crew thought nothing of discarding their garbage on the property on a daily basis. They destroyed several trees & left them as they are, they scattered other trees & logs all over the yard that were neatly piled out of the way, they smashed & buried my septic pipe and buried my septic access hatch. I am also missing tools - a long-handled sledge hammer & a rake. They often only showed up for 2-3 hours a day and then left for several days before returning to the project. A 2-week project turned into 2 1/2 months. Actually tried to invoice me the full amount of the project plus HST for things that they did not supply or complete before taking off adjustments for deficiencies - overcharging for 20 cu yds of concrete, windows not supplied, sill plate & gasket not supplied and lag bolts either too short to hold the sill plate or they didn't install enough. Some areas had no lag bolts at all. I have nothing good to say about working with Paramount Construction. It is time for Norm Maurice to retire. Long overdue.

There are huge cracks in both garage and house foundations... where you can see through to outside. The garage floor has HUGE cracks. And some of the blocks on the garage foundation have actually shifted off somewhat. And when asked to fix, they parged a bit... never came back to fix anything. When contacted again, they ignore me.
