Martin is the man! We started having some issues with our van leaving Glacier NP and were worried about being able to make it through the long barren stretch to Yellowstone. This was basically the only place between the two parks we could find and were hoping for the best but didn't have high hopes out there in the middle of nowhere. We were blown away by how warm and helpful Martin was. He helped us out immediately, explained everything he was finding, and had us back out of there in 30 minutes. He didn't have the exact parts we needed but he fixed us up enough to get to Bozeman safely. Truly don't know what we would've done without his help!! There guys are so great! They turned what could have been an even more stressful situation into something quick and peaceful. I am from out of town and was driving through Browning Mt when my car started smoke. I though it was a cracked block by the way it was smoking. I just happened to end up right across the street from their shop so I drove it over. They lookd at it right away, going my oil plug had called out (from the other company who chainnged my oil a week ago) and got everything in working order super fast. The desk ladies were super kind and the mechanic was very efficient and accommodating when I asked for pictures of the oil leak. I would definitely recommend them! read more

I had a Glacier Park Many Glacier "souvenir" embedded in my Ford F-250. I called a Browning business that sounded okay, but the person on the phone was very terse and wouldn't talk to me other than to confirm he would take my money. My wife and I drove 30 miles to Browning from the KOA park. After being in the office for a while a grumpy man came up and asked what we wanted. I asked if he could fix my tire. He said yes, and asked if I had taken it off the truck yet. I said "No" and he started to turn around. I asked if he could work on it today, and he said "Yeah" and started to turn around. I asked how long, and he said he had six jobs in front of me and he was wasting time talking to me. Then my wife and I left. We drove the truck down the road and accidentally saw Advanced Automotive & Towing. We stopped and found a friendly man at the desk. He said he could work on it right away. Also, he would actually take the tire off the truck and put it back on. While we waited we played with their friendly dogs. The manager had a great sense of humor and genuine sense of customer service. In about 30 minutes our tire was fixed. I didn't ask the price at the start and sort of expected an expensive repair given that I was from out of town, but when the co-owner checked me out, she charged a lot less than I expected. Everyone at Advanced Automotive & Towing had a cheerful and encouraging attitude. It was like the enjoyed doing automotive work and even appreciated the customers for their business. read more

We were on vacation when a wheel bearing failed on my truck about 20 mi. North of Browning. After trying to deal with roadside assistance with no success, we called Advanced Towing. They got someone out as soon as they could and loaded up 3 adults, 2 dogs and my truck and brought us back to the shop. It was late Thursday afternoon and the local parts store had a new part in stock so they would try to get it fixed Friday even though they were pretty busy. I found a rental car about 30 miles away but didn't have a way to get there. One of the mechanics offered to drive me over to pick up the car while the rest of the family stayed cool in their office (after they were closed) Got the car, was able to go into Glacier NP, and came back the next day and picked up the truck. We were very literally at their mercy and they went out of their way to help us and get us back on the road and charged us a fair price. Thank you!!! read more

Lost power going into Browning. While deciding if we should turn around and go home, we turned into gas station. We noticed the repair shop across the street. Thought might as well take a chance and ask if they could take a look. They moved a few vehicles and got us in right away! Great service. Great price. Had them tow a motorcycle. Broke off the windshield and mirror then when we went to pick it up they left us waiting at the gate for over 3 hours. During business hours. Kept telling us someone was on the way to open the gate. Had to threaten to call the sheriff befor they actually let us on to get the bike. read more

While on a camping trip from Portland, OR to Glacier Park our van developed a wheel bearing problem and we limped into the nearest town, Browning. Brought the car to Advanced Auto. During the repair of the wheel bearing they discovered that our recent brake replacement had been done badly and our calipers were sticking and had already worn the pads down to 40% in about 2 months. Despite a jammed workload, they fit us in and really went the extra mile getting our car repaired and helping us in other ways also. The wheel bearings had to be overnighted from Billings. They told us to use their name at a nearby motel for a discount and the motel gave us 1/3 off the room price. The next day they discovered the brake problem and one of the guys drove to Great Falls and back (5+ hours) and got our brake calipers back at 7 pm. During the day they gave us a loaner car so we weren't stuck sitting in the office and let us stay in the office after hours while the repair was being done. Their repair guy came in late and worked on the car until 9:30pm to get us back on the road that day so we didn't have to spend another night in the motel. We can't say enough about how friendly and helpful they were to make a bad situation less painful. The repair cost was very reasonable (certainly less than our typical costs in Portland) and the car made it back home with no problems. Our best wishes to the owners, Martin & Caroline. read more
