It was a pleasure having Richard, Daniel, and Cody at my house for a very large project. Two gigantic, 200 plus oak tree that have seen the Civil War, five large maple trees right smack near the house, one very dangerous red oak over the garage, one dying very large ilantis tree and the grinding of stumps. I even threw two curve balls at him by asking for a decent sized holly and an another large red oak taken down. Please be sure not to be surprised like I was when he had to understandably charge not just for the grounding of the stump but also the removal of the shavings and wood chips that are left afterwards. I lucked out that I could get a bit of a discount by virtue of allowing him to just dump the waste in the back yard forest. Make sure to listen to him when he mentions about the potential pile of shavings after the stump grinding. Oh also be sure to look into the difference between stump grinding and stump removal. I don't know if he does stump removal but by golly they can grind stumps for sure! Regardless of these three additional charges I must say I am very pleased on the competitive pricing they do. Now please be aware, like all tree removal services, pricing is also dictated by how difficult the tree is to cut like it's proximity to other buildings, fences, etc. I have the luxury of having a large plot of land. 2 acres with plenty of space for them to fell some of the tree at play. Nevertheless, my mother and I were impressed by their work on trickier spots like those above the septic tank, my neighbor's fence, and my electric service line. Daniel, the primary one that will get in the bucket, sure heck knows his way 70+ feet high up a canopy. Richard was also present each day and you could feel his presence as one that ensures all goes well, smoothly and professionally. Another thing that also was a positive for me is that there was plenty of space for them to move their four major pieces of equipment around. If you really care about your lawn, make sure to let him know upfront. I do believe I saw material that would help in those situations. I don't know. I got quotes from six others. There was another that was competitively priced but that service did not cultivate a sense of trust. Richard is very good people. He walked with me on my property during the quote. He was actually engaged, knew his stuff, and cared about what I wanted and did not abuse the fact I'm green in terms of trees. OH, he also was the only one of the six that guessed right that the two gigantic oak trees were sickly and probably should come down. Another five to ten years those trees would have destroyed my house and killed us if we were inside. He found holes, mold, cavities and all sort of rotten roots and parts to them. My mother and father were amazed. She said she was so proud of them. I could hear the relief and happiness in her voice as she gave me a report on how they finished up the job while I was away at work. I would not have trusted the other six while I was away from my house with only my parent left behind. The project lasted eight days as it was interrupted by a thunderstorm on a Wednesday and needed repairs to their bobcat (I'm telling you my project for them was huge). He's done a dangerous thing- being too good at a service that is full of risk and bumps and curveballs along the way. Now I have no choice but to recommend him none stop and better yet- come down and take down even more. I can't speak to tree care but I have no doubt he's good at that too. Our neighbor was getting a few trees cut down the day after I had surgery. We had a tree that fell in our yard and I could not physically cut it off of my fence. Richard came over and cut it off my fence and helped repair the fence. I asked him for his card and he promptly came over and cut four trees down in my yard that was hanging over the house.
