Paul and Rodney were fantastic! My yard has never looked better! While only five trees were completely removed, the "raising of the canopy" really opened things up...more sunlight for all plantings. All dead branches/limbs were removed from all trees. Their clean-up was super! And Rodney, the tree climber/cutter was amazing...like an artist with a saw. He cut down and trimmed trees without damaging plantings or anything else. They were a great team! I highly recommend them. read more

We had a pine tree that was probably a big gust of wind away from breaking and landing on the back of the house and deck. Last week there was a threat of some bad storms and I panicked and started calling around to see if anyone could come take care of it that day. Paul came by later in the day and gave me a quote. I had one other guy coming to give me a quote so Paul left and said he could come back in the morning if I needed him. A few minutes after he left he texted and said that if the other guy didn't workout to let him know because he would come back since he knew I'd sleep better with that tree gone. Sure enough, the other quote was higher and I took Paul up on his offer to come back. He and his crew were at my house within 15 minutes and took care of it. He's not just awesome at what he does but also a really great person. I will recommend them to everyone I know. read more

These guys are amazing! A tree fell through our house during the recent storm. Thankfully no one was hurt, but the house sustained significant damage. Mr. Johnson and his crew came out ASAP and expertly as well as safely removed the tree from our house and cleaned up. I cannot say enough about the care and expertise of Mr. Johnson and his crew. I called E&E Tree services 24 hours ago and my service is already completed. From the very first call, this company was great to deal with. I mostly dealt with Paul, and he was excellent. I had two trees (one dead and one bending toward my house) that needed removal and they provided me a detailed estimate with multiple options. The price was fair and they happened to be available the very next day (today). They arrived exactly when they said they were going to arrive and once at my house, they proceeded to work and were very understanding to my multiple requests to include the addition to additional tasks I realized I needed done. After the job was completed, they left the premises in better shape than what they found them. From responsiveness to professionalism, to cleanness, this is a first class team. Update: After speaking with the owner all issues have been discussed an taken care of. Aside from the issues that were at hand the job itself was done very well. The crew went above and beyond and even cleaned my yard of all the leaves, which was a job itself. I would recommend EE tree service. I had two trees cut down on Monday 12/18/17. Included in the cutting was the stump removal, along with the two stumps we had agreed on a 3rd larger stump and 4 tiny crape myrtle stumps would also be removed. After the trees were cut and the yard was cleaned up I was told the stumps would be gone by Friday. On Friday afternoon the stumps had not been removed and I had not heard from anyone, after I text the owner Paul he said he would check with his dad. I never heard back until I text him again on Tuesday the 26th. He then told me they would be out on Saturday the 30th. By Saturday afternoon no one showed up and again no text or communication. I end up texting Paul again at which time he apologized saying they just received a part they needed in the mail. I asked when the job would be done and explained I was going to be out of town for a few days. He again assured me they would have it done by Friday 1/5/18 and I would not need to be here, that we could settle the remaining balance when I got back. Well I leave and come back Saturday the 6th and I still have stumps in my yard. read more

Getting trees cut and removed is rarely a pleasant experience. You know it's needed buts it's not at the top of your list. We just had four trees cut and removed. One huge one in the main lawn area also needed the stump ground. EE was a great surprise. They were responsive, extremely neat throughout their work and post cleanup, and had a very reasonable price. They worked quickly and were happy to answer any questions. I would highly recommend them! read more

I regret that I attempted to do business with Paul from Williamsburg Firewood. When you call the phone number no one talks to you. You get directed to their web site. They attempt to do all business on line. No personal interaction. He takes payment in advance. He promised a delivery time but didn't show up. No call or text to indicate a delay. He would not return texts. The only time he returned my text is when I texted and emailed to cancel the order and advised that I would file a dispute with the credit card company. He responded within minutes to that text. Certainly, I will not do business with him with either Williamsburg Firewood or EEE Tree Services. If you choose to do business with him do so at your own risk. I recommend that under no circumstance should you pay in advance. read more

We could not be happier with E & E Tree Service. We interviewed three companies before hiring E & E, and while they were not the lowest bidder, they were close; definitely still in the ballpark -- and fair and reasonable. We made the decision to go with E & E because we were impressed with owner, Paul Johnson. Paul is a straight shooter who looks you in the eye, answers your questions clearly, and gets the job done right. We came to learn that the first impression he made is an accurate accounting of who he truly is. Paul runs a tight ship, is a diligent worker and leader, and is the consummate tree professional. He is a master of his craft. We have a large, heavily wooded lot in a Williamsburg, VA country club. We needed 10 mature trees taken down, another 10 mature trees heavily pruned, and an equal number of mature bushes pruned, with some being removed. E & E did all that heavy work in just three days, carefully respecting our utility lines and irrigation system in the process. **They did a perfect clean-up each night before departing our property, which is greatly appreciated. They ground out the stumps of the mature trees and filled in approximately 1/3 acre with high grade mulch. We even had the opportunity to select from three different mulches to get the one that looked best in our yard. The transformation of our property is truly amazing. His hardworking, polite, friendly, and professional crew was a pleasure to have on property. We are very pleased with everything Paul Johnson and his great, no nonsense crew achieved.
