Been getting my top denture for 5 years. Material quality is very low, they keep breaking. Getting an appointment is easy enough, but to actually be seen for that appointment usually doesn't happen. The people don't care about the patients. You will never get in for a cleaning either. They will give you an appointment 6mo out, then call the week before to reschedule for 6mo out over and over. At the time advantage dental was my primary dentist for the type of insurance I had. I should have know it wasn't going to be a good fit when it took them over a year to finish my teeth cleaning. They called and canceled multiple appointments I had scheduled due to never having anyone in the office able to perform a deep clean. This happened at least 4-5 times! Well because of the deep cleaning that took so long to finally have done they ruined a part of my gums. During the actual process of them removing the tartar from my teeth, tartar was pushed down further into my gums which over time irritated my gums and caused infection. This eventually lead to my gums receding and now I have to get a skin graft to fix the area that was damaged. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone as I feel like they really don't care about the patients and more about what benefits them. read more

I went to the Myrtle Point about 3 years ago. The staff and dentist was nice. I got all my dental work done in a timely manner, however, I have 2 insurance coverages and they DID NOT even attempt to bill my insurance company. They then sent me to collections and had me pay over $600 for services that I had done that I should have not paid anything for since I have more than adequate coverage. This put me off and that's the reason why I'd never go back there again. read more

Seriously worst place in the planet. I had to wait 3 months to get an appointment when my nerves were hanging out my tooth. Then after three months I of COURSE get a call just to tell me no Doctor will be in this afternoon we need to reschedule again for the 2nd time. Today's a new day and wouldn't you know it they "forgot" to call my Friday to tell they had to reschedule AGAIN (3 times now). Oh look, day number 4 canceled on me again. I've never seen such a thing. So your IN work, but can't work? What? Like you people need to get your incompetent a**es together and come to work to do your job. Bunch of pansys. REVIEW FOR THE CURTIS AVE COOS BAY OFFICE! The Coos Bay office is terrible! They give you an appt where you have to wait 2 months and when that appt comes close they call and say they have to reschedule! They did this THREE times and with appts that couldnt wait because of the pain. But they say oh you can come in and wait to see if they can fit you in! NO THANK YOU! I made an appt because I have a life and cant afford to just sit in your office hoping to be fit in but they always reschedule your appt after you have waited for months! AWFUL customer service. It seems this happens mainly with people who DONT have private insurance or pay in cash. They should be ashamed of themselves!! After a Tooth extraction months ago (very traumatic), and a "follow up", I'm still experiencing a large quantity of tooth fragments extruding from my gums. I figured they chunks would be gone by now, but they aren't. After getting xray'd and being told there was none left i believed them. Here i am months later still in pain and pulling pieces out on a weekly basis. Not to mention the dentists aren't local and could probably care less about the work they do. The people are awesome, just an inexperienced dentist i'd say. read more

Went in today and never been able to wear my lower partials in walk out being able to wear them getting my upper partials fixed and waiting for approval to have all upper dentures. I hope they have their attorney call me since I recorded visit whereby he threatens me with making my visit "much more painful since I'm the one that gives the injection" then begins his tyrant about me at loud volume so other patients could hear him disclose my medical records of which he failed to note PTSD and was over me in the chair. He had already triggered it when he snuck up from behind and shoved his face in mine--I think he knew what he was doing since he made it clear he had read my medical charts. After breaking a tooth I called to make an appointment due to the pain. 3 weeks later, I go to my appointment and spend a total of 5 minutes with a dentist (who spent the entire time trying to sell me a crown for a tooth unrelated to my emergency visit) im told that I would have to wait until april to address my pain and tooth, but dont worry! They gave me some great advice! "Go to the ER if it hurts or swells before your next appointment" needless to say, dont waste your time here, find a real dentist read more

I have been a patient of Advantage Dental for years. Yes there has been times of growing pains, however I have been treated very well by them. I called yesterday,(Tuesday) I was given an appointment for today (Wednesday) at 10 am. I had broken a crown in the front of my mouth. I was treated by an assisting dentist, Greg, as they currently don't have a permanent dentist on site. Greg did a wonderful job, and is obviously very experienced in his field. Just the name 'Advantage Dental' is a joke! No advantages at all. I filled out all paperwork for myself, my boyfriend, and my two daughters LAST AUGUST!! (2015). I have since had zero contact unless I walked in to tell them about this. Went in three weeks ago, left our names and my number....still nothing!! No exams, no cleanings, no nothing!! It is now almost Valentines Day 2016!! I was assigned this 'provider' who provides NOTHING!! There is no 'zero stars' to choose, so I am forced to choose one star!!! read more

Worst dentist and staff I've ever been to in my over 60 years.Don't care to relive the nightmare!

If I could prevent people from having the experiences with Advantage Dental that we have I would. This office is the worst run dental office I have ever had the unfortunate experience to have to deal with in my entire life and I am 62! If you are successful at getting an appointment with them, generally about a 6-8 month wait plan on spending the day there. Every appointment we have had there has cost us a minimum of 4 hours in their lobby and as long as the entire day before being seen. The gal who makes the appointments continually moves your appointments, especially if you are not a cash or private insurance type of patient.. You will arrive to find your appointment has disappeared. Of course she states she tries to call you, but after you check your call log, there of course was no call. Then you have to wait another 6 months or more for another appointment you may or may not have when you actually show up. If you do still have the appointment, bring a lunch pail or cooler with plenty of snacks a and drinks because you will be there a long time. You will notice that all the people with appointments AFTER yours will be taken in sooner than you if you are on state programs. You can arrive with nobody there and yet you will still be there for hours after everyone comes in and leaves while you are still there, probably because they are cash patient or have better insurance that you have. They get preferential treatment. Also, the staff there is very rude. Most of the time I go back to use the restroom everyone in the back is chatting and laughing instead of calling in the patients and actually working on them. I did find that you CAN get an appointment sooner if you offer cash! That told me all I needed to know yesterday when we were there. I don't recommend any of their Dental offices in Coos County, we have tried them all and this one was actually the best of them, can you believe that? At least this office is clean, but the staff, ugh, decide for yourself if you go there. We will NEVER be back and we will be elevating our horrific experiences the last 2 days not only to their Corporate offices but to our governmental officials as well. Human beings should never be treated the way the staff at Advantage Dental treats their patients. read more

This clinic doesn't even deserve one star! We have had problems on every interaction we've had with them. When my daughter was 3 she had a cavity in one tooth. They said that since she was so young instead of removing the tooth or doing a filling they would do silver nitrate treatments instead. After the treatments were said and done, I was contacted by their office person saying that they needed to cancel the appointment to remove my daughter's tooth!!! They had told me that they weren't going to and I didn't even know I had an appointment!! They canceled our next annual check up when she was four because the office was too busy, and subsequently canceled the rescheduled appointments. Four months ago my daughter's face swelled up four times it's normal size, she also had a fever and was complaining of mouth pain. Her pediatrician saw her immediately and said it looked like the tooth was infected. She recommended an emergency dental visit. The dentist and his emergency clinic in our town were both closed for the week because he was in vacation. Luckily, her pediatrician was kind enough to get her antibiotics and other medications because of the situation. We were never seen for this issue and eventually it went away. At that time I scheduled an appointment for October for a regular annual exam. My daughter will be 5 in a month and has only had the one exam. Our appointment was last Monday. They knew that I was bringing her in on my lunch hour and said it would be just a few minutes. They left us in the waiting room for an hour and a half only to come tell us that they wouldn't be able to see us because the doctor was too busy. They rescheduled us for Thursday. When we went in for our scheduled appointment, they told us it would be a few minutes. I was getting frustrated at an hour and a half of waiting. Especially since they had a family of three walk in off the street without appointments that had never seen this dentist before and they took them first. Additionally, somebody scheduled for an hour after us came in and was seen immediately. It was the final straw when they came out to take ANOTHER child that arrived after us. I am filing a formal complaint and will get the word out so that nobody else has to go through this. read more
