Love this place! I'm new in the area and I rarely trust places but this place is awesome! My dog Jake loves to come here and he is a 4 month of golden retriever puppy. He has so much energy and when he has a full day there and comes home at the end of the day he is exhausted and sleeps through the whole night! Very friendly staff and clean environment. Brought my shih tzu on Saturday, Feb. 17th, 2018. Malia had been going there for over 4 years. Usually it take them at least 2-3 hours. I got the call 1 hour later, she was ready. I brought her home, and she ran under the bed, wouldn't eat, walk or come out. Tuesday night, I got her and noticed her neck was cut at least 3 inches from a deep cut. When I called Wednesday Morning, Brooke said and your calling now? She said she leaves at 3, I should take her to a vet. No, I want to know why this groomer did this. She said she would be there until 7 on Thursday. I brought her in after work, and of course, I was told she had that when she came in. No she did NOT. Do Not bring your pet there. It is under new management now. I will be going elsewhere. Sue was the groomer. My dog was shivering when I brought her back there. I wish I could post a picture. My neighbors couldn't believe what they did, and they have seen her every day, prior to this massacre of my almost 5 year old baby. Go ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!!! read more

We take my German Shepherd here for grooming and baths for the last 3 years now and it has been an overall great experience. The team is friendly and efficient. They know how to take care of my pup. The only issue I have is with the hours for grooming. They do not take appointments on Sunday and since I work during the week, I sometimes have a very narrow window to get him in on a Saturday. Outside that everything else is TOP NOTCH. Highly recommend for bathing, grooming services. I can NOT comment on the boarding services, as I use an independent in home care service for boarding my dog. read more

We have been bringing our pet here for several years. The facility is always well staffed and the employees are well-trained and friendly. The entry area and office are impressively clean and it is obvious that the pets receive the finest of care. Our dog comes home clean and happy. We left our dog Popeye at Advantage Pet Center for 3 days. They took good care of him and he was tired when we picked him up, showing he must have had a fun time playing with the other pups. Their prices are much much better then other places near by. They don't nickel and dime you to death like some places. read more

I have been taking my two guys here for over a year, both for day care and long stretches for boarding when I travel to asia for work. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and they show true affection toward my dogs. I have recommended them to a couple friends -- one with a dog and one a cat, and both have also had great experiences with boarding and daycare. Excellent facilities and value -- the prices are reasonable and the personal attention from the staff with my dogs is invaluable. read more

Their standards seem to be slipping when it comes to grooming. The last two times my dog has has some part of his grooming missed. The last time the worst though his ears were not touched, his cut was uneven, his nails were not filed, and only half his bangs were cut. When I pointed these things out I was told the groomer was gone for the day and I would have to come back (I live 30 minutes away). I understand the groomer was gone, but he should have had a quality check done. read more

We have been taking our 3 dogs here for nail trims for awhile now. Pleased with the service, they always take them right away without having to wait. They do a pretty good job with the nails. My only complaint would be that the price keeps going up each time we go. Unfortunately if they continue to raise their rates we will have to take our dogs somewhere else. read more

We live sort of far from here, but anytime I can, I take my dog here for a bath. They always do a great job!

Uncaring, and very poor groomers. I have to Bichons and I wasn't able to brush them because of not being able to see because of eye surgery. I knew they were matted, but the completely shaved them to the skin. They didn't even try to fix them. I guess you get what you pay for. And both my dogs were traumatized. Never again will I have my dogs groomed there again. Don't know how you get people to give you 5 stars, low expectations I guess read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE FOR ANY REASON EVER! This used to be a great facility, now that it is no longer owned by Anne it is a nightmare. Picked my dog up today after an extended stay and he is covered in a rash, lesions and open wounds. They said it must have happened in one day because they didn't see anything wrong until he was in grooming today. We rushed him straight to our vet who said there is no way this happened overnight. They are liars. Rather than tend to my animals obvious medical situation, they ignored it and left him alone to suffer. They neglected my dog and abused him. I will be reporting them to animal services in the morning, they need to be shut down and put out of business before they hurt any more innocent animals. The worst part is I paid them $500 to neglect and abuse my dog, it makes me sick that there are disgusting people like this in this world. Do not use this facility ever for anything. They are evil animal abusers. read more

The old say, home away from home, we would say that Stephanie and all the staff at APC in Largo Florida where the best in all aspects, concern, professionals, go the extra mile to please our dog with outstanding Customer care, we highly recommend them because they love their jobs, they do understand the rewarding of a happy tail and a completely satisfied client. We highly recommend them, and I feel sorry for the other client that post one star, it's not APC and their staff to be blame about his dog problems, there are so many factors involved. We've been bringing our 2 Silkie Terriers, Toby and Belle, to Advantage Pet Center for about 8 years and the Entire Staff have been Nothing but Kind, Caring, Professional and Courteous to Us and our Dogs. I always call a few times throughout their stay, to check on them and the Staff is always on top of the Dogs' hourly/daily charts and dispositions. I've toured and inspected their facility and have been very pleased with the Kennels and Grooming facility. As our Dogs are "Our Family", we have always been able to go away knowing they will be well taken care of at all times. Wouldn't bring them anywhere else!! read more

I leave my dachshund at Advantage Pet Center every year when we go on vacation and any time we decide to take a weekend getaway. This last time I left her there, there was an adorable pug that was up for adoption, and while we were away our dachshund and pug were put together to get to know each other. When we got back, we brought our two dogs home, and both were well taken care of as always. I also have my dachshund groomed every time she is there, and what's included in the full grooming package is just awesome - especially since vets charge extra for emptying anal sacs....my only gripe is the recent increase in price, but considering the level and quality of care, it's worth it.... read more

Never would I take my baby here again. We dropped our 8 month puppy off, and they took him without letting us say goodbye. As I was leaving I went back in because it upset me not to give some goodbye kisses to my boy before leaving. They took me back to the kennel area because I wanted to see him before dropping him off. They put him in the kennel without water. I'm assuming they didn't feed him that night like I asked them to because he had one serving of food left. When my fiancé went to pick him up we had paid for a full day of play and by the way he was running in the back yard when he returned home It appeared as though he had been locked up all day! It is completely out of the norm for him to be full of energy after an hour of play let alone a full day of play. Following his return home he gulped down two bowls of water as soon as he pranced into the house. Overall Ill spend the extra 10 dollars a day to watch him on a monitor to ensure that my baby is being taken care of properly! read more

My Grandmother Leona was the owner off the original Rolene Kennel! I have photos of the kennel from when I was a child. My little sister and I helped care for the dogs by walking them, and taking their individually prepared food to each kennel. We played with them and we also cleaned the puppy cages for the separate store , our neighbor Bernie Meth who was a groomer sold puppies. I have many beautiful photos. It was a long time ago and I will be 60 in May. Grandmother became the caretaker of a little dog who belonged to her good friend Mrs. Knots the Gelatin heiress. The kennel was popular, Grandmother raised Spaniels and Poodles besides boarding so they were into the whole show thing as well. At one time there were even goats on the property she said, but it was nothing but countryside and huge- covered in Palmettos and Punk Trees draped in Spanish moss. Quite lovely but we had and occasional rattlesnake and scorpion. There were acres and acres of old-style kennels, outside runs, covered and houses within back then but the runways were huge and she always them very clean. Grandmother actually lived at the kennel with the dogs and cats for years. I do not recognize the area anymore. I would like to come by some day next time I am in Florida. My little sister still lives nearby. read more

I have been meaning to write this review for some time and when searching for local groomers with good reviews I was reminded of my poor experience at Advantage Pet Center. I brought my long haired cat in to be groomed and shaved into a lion cut. He gets mats in his fur and cutting him helps prevent this. In the past we have groomed him ourselves but decided to take him to a professional since the mats had gotten close to the skin. I was told when I dropped him off in the morning (for his 10 am scheduled appointment) that the process would only take a couple hours. I told the people up front that I needed to be at work later that afternoon so it was imperative he be finished by 2. They assured me this was no problem at all. They never called to tell me he was finished like they said they would so I followed up around 12:30 to see what was going on. I was told he did not like their dryers so they wanted to let him air dry. I reminded them that he needed to be done within the hour. Again they assured me this was no problem. I show up at 1:45 thinking he must be finished and even if he wasn't I had to take him anyway. He was not finished. Not even close. He had a "rough cut" as they called it. It was certainly rough looking. We do a much better job at home and don't traumatize him by putting him in the car to do so. I was charged full price and with barely an apology told I could come back the next morning at 7am so he could be "finished". They even mentioned they knew I must work nights if I was going to work at 3pm so I obviously don't keep early hours. You would think knowing this they wouldn't offer me a 7am apt as my only choice for them to finish the job I already paid them for. I reluctantly agreed but decided not to bring my cat back. He was very upset and so was I. He had been to the vet only the day before so I really didn't feel like putting them in the car 3 days in a row when he hates it. They had my number but didn't bother to call and follow up when I missed my appointment. That is very bad business in my opinion and I will not recommend this groomer to anyone. read more
