They own a LOT of properties in WF so they are experienced in property management. I enjoyed that the house I rented was restored on the inside keeping the charm of the older home, but with finished original hardwoods, nice tile in the kitchen and bathrooms and wonderful central heat and air. I was pleased with the rental rate that I paid each month and my utilities were average (I paid less for the house than for the apartment I had previously rented). Once after a late shift, I had a shower head issue in one of my bathrooms and didn't have the tools or knowledge to stop the water flow myself. I called their after hours line and someone came over right away to shut off water at the street for me - without complaint. First thing in the morning the entire issue was repaired without having to make a second call. I have no complaints about maintenance because they were on top of any issue I had, and friendly. I have referred friends to them and wouldn't have moved had I not been buying my own house. I should have left this review a long time ago!

So, being that this was my first grown-up experience, I don't think it could have been a better one. The apartments are located in a safe neighborhood, right off Fairway. You're close to a lot of shopping, as well as Southwest Parkway and Kell to take you to other parts of town easily. The rent is quite reasonable. In the over 3 years I was there, it never budged from the 470 a month mark. The complex offers one free covered parking spot. If you live in Wichita Falls, you know this is so beneficial, because weather changes on a dime! Plus, when I was there, water and wastewater/trash fees weren't tacked on as an additional surcharge. The property has gotten a lot of good things these past few years, including Crime Free certification and the addition of nighttime security patrol, but rent never went up once when I was there. Keep in mind, the apartments are quite small. But for 470 a month, there's really nothing to complain about. Also, the complex's population is a little older. But I lived there from 22 to 25 years old, and never felt out of place or had any issues. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the greatness that is apartment manager Jeannie. She is sweet, helpful, and quells any concerns you may have in a timely fashion. When I was there, there wasn't an on-site maintenance crew. But, if you had any issues, you just called Jeannie, and a service crew would be there within a day, at no cost to you. If you're looking for a safe, cheap place to live for just you, or you and a partner or small pet, I wouldn't hesitate recommending El Dorado Court Apartments.

The leasing ladies were also so awesome and would give me hugs when I would come up there after I moved out and ask about my dog. They are the best and I hope they stay for as long as they can. They were supposed to renovate them but I'm not sure if that's happening anymore. It definitely could use a renovation of updated cabinets (that was the only thing that was ugly) but for Wichita Falls it was nice. They need another pool and a dog park though. My wife and I are brand new to the military. We had a crazy last minute change of orders and had to find a place to temporarily live while awaiting base housing. Our wait time for housing was such that TLF would be too expensive and impractical with a 10 mo old child, yet there was nowhere with short term leasing options. Sandra and Jill, the ladies at the office went above and beyond typical apartment complex procedures and worked with us individually to make sure we had a place to stay. They really helped us out! The phase 2 apartment complexes are clean and well managed - plenty of room in both the master and second bedroom. Kitchen appliances were all new and worked well. The pool was great for getting out of the sweltering heat. We had no complaints during our stay. Would highly recommend to all incoming military staying in the Sheppard AFB area!
