I've reviewed them before, but this is an update focusing on their testing services! But wait you say, "I've been using one of those two big testing chains that seem to be everywhere." One of those is much closer to me, but I still go here for testing and here's why- 1. Easy Parking- Park in the big front entrance lot. If you are mobility impaired or just not feeling well, a volunteer in a golf cart will pick you up at your car and run you to the front door. 2. Wonderful Hours- 6AM-5PM M-F. 3. No Appointment Needed- I usually wait less than 10 minutes. Note that if you desire, the app will let you make an appointment. Pro Tip- A lot of folks have an order for a "fasting" blood test. So, they fast overnight and show up first thing in the morning. The morning rush ends around 10AM. 4. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Solid App- Generally you get your results the same time your Dr. does.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 5. Crazy Fast Results. Most folks get some type of blood test or urinalysis, and I've done both many times. My drive home is 7 miles and usually, while I'm driving, my app notifies me the results are available! That's incredible! As you can tell, I'm a huge fan of testing here. When you're going for these tests, you're already under some stress because something might be wrong. OUTPATIENT OVERPRICED !! I was seen at Advent Health Medical Group, great place, and was sent to the hospital outpatient with a X-ray order "Stat". When I checked in, the people at the front desk told me that the X-Ray with 2 views had an estimate of $1100 with my insurance. I declined it. In the past they have charged me $200. I'm here at an urgent care that charges $100 for the same X-ray, out of pocket. I have to be seen again and I need to pay again, but it's worth it. I've attached a picture of proof. Don't even have properly working medical equipment. I had an IV pump beeping the entire 10 days I was v there and was told by a nurse that's normal, the internal battery needed to be changed and didn't know who could do that. Messed up one of my blood transfusions and left it hanging for 8 hours while the IV was leaking into my arm causing a huge bruise and pain. Put wrong medicine in an IV even though I told her it was wrong. There isn't enough space here to report all of the mistakes and incidents. My advice..NEVER GO TO ANY ADVENT FACILITY. read more

Husband was sent for emergency CT scan on a Monday. Scan was not read or reported until a Wednesday. He had a ruptured appendix. Was sent for emergency surgery thru the Emergency Room. Checked in with the desk for emergency surgery. Waited over 10 hours before anyone even talked to him. By then it was 1AM in the morning and no surgeon available so surgery not done until Thursday. Meanwhile, THREE days all the poison from his rupture was in his body. He spent over 3 weeks in the hospital recovering with IV antibiotics running to clear the infection. Now that is over, I'm being billed for services he DID NOT receive. Disputed the charges to no avail. I stayed with him every day for 3 weeks all day and night so I know everything that was said and done. Billing said the PT services were documented, so therefore they were done. He had PT ONCE, not the 8 times he was billed over $2000.00 for walking him down the hall. My dispute is a he said/she said situation, therefore to bad for me. I am forced to pay. NEVER WALK IN THE DOOR OF THIS HOSPITAL. THERE IS ANOTHER HOSPITAL JUST DOWN THE ROAD. My experience with this place is up and down. First off my 80 yr old MIL was sent to the ER via ambulance a few times between April and June. There were all kinds of issues. She's 80, it happens. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But I feel the Dr's and nurses here don't communicate well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They are all very kind, especially the nurses in the ER.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And I get the under staffing. Not surprised with this. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But the communication between the Dr's, nurse's to patients and family members are WAY OFF.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Either we get a "DR will be here soon" (and a no show or extremely late show up from a hours to a day later) or "Let me ck on that" from a nurse and nobody comes back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I know that there's more than one patient in the hospital and everyone gets busy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But even if they just stuck their head in the door and said, "hey, I haven't forgotten you." I'm still working on getting an answer for you!"[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]If there is more than one DR working on you, bring a notebook to keep them all straight. If one doc is taking over for another or just covering for a few hours, how about let us know this![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I honestly could go on with what I felt was lacking at this hospital but I don't want to write a book. But I do want to say that the nurses, (especially) were amazing in the actual care for my MIL. Both in the ER and once she was admitted. They spoke to her with much care and respect. I call it the pump and dump hospital last visit for my heart was on bed pushed against the wall did nothing Avon Park fire leveled me out.Was there for about 40 min no IV just a Xray and Abby the Fake nurse did not know how to reset the medical devices taking pictures of my bad dental work posting pictures on the Web.What kind of hospital staff does this DEI hires this is what you get no skill sets what so ever. Doctor Rivera would not presribe the blood pressure medication I needed there no reason for it .She referred me to one the network doctors maybe she getting kick back they billed medicade $3900 then try to harass me to give them a credit card. 11years ago I used one of there Network doctors which his diagnosis was COPD went though steroid In halers sulfate inhalers found out these blood pressure Meds and Inhalers i was allergic to some of the meds started coughing up some blood stoped taking there Meds.No longer have COPD and can stay outside in summer no longer have breathing problems don,t take any Meds anymore.Badside is the steroid Inhalers destroyed my teeth depleted my savings did not have Medicade at the time have go back to work at 65.Thanks Advent Heath read more

That's on me, came back the following morning and told be I'd have to pay a bill (or a portion of it that's was over 800) if I wanted to get my blood work done. Over the past 10 years or so I have relied on this hospital for various tests and small ER matters. I was happy with the level of service...but in the recent month of 1 ER visit and 2 trips for a blood draw, I have seen a drastic change in the level of service. Yup, the campus is nice, the facilities are clean, the staff friendly...if it wasn't for us pesky patients. The blood lab in particular is a horror show. All of the waiting patients this am were elderly, they had walkers, canes, wheelchairs and some were so frail they needed a family member to assist them. The waiting was by seating, those at one end of the seating area were served. When they got up for their test, all the other patients had to get up and move 1 chair over to keep the order. I just shuddered when I saw this happen each time a new patient was called up. How callous can you get? A simple ticket machine, or a sign-in sheet would have alleviated al this misery on these elderly folks. Day after day, hour after hour this happened, the staff didn't notice or care. It was convenient for them to make all those old folks dance. PS, I was here a day earlier to try and get a blood test but gave up after nearly two hours. read more

Been here for over an hour. Been in a room for 45 minutes not a single person has been in to see us. No nurse no doctor, nothing! Terrible absolutely terrible. So pissed right now and about the walk out. Update: we were giving them until 12:30 to come in which would be exactly 1 hour in the room. They came in at 12:28. Ridiculous! Update 2: Doctor finally just came in at 1 and now we are being discharged with the same medicine we were already on that clearly didn't work to begin with. No testing or anything. ‍ what now? Go home and suffer more? Really?! ‍ Awful. Update 3: we were discharged at 2:20 with the same medicine we went in with. They literally did nothing but I'm sure our insurance will be billed some outrageous amount. read more

Good Evening, I am here with my daughter on 2 north. My daughter came to the ER this morning due to abdomen pain, worst she has ever had. The nursing staff in the ER has a lot of opportunity for improvement. My daughter's nurse was Jokay and she lacked everything we are taught in nursing school as far as being the patient advocate, educator and having compassion. When the doctor said my daughter was being admitted and having surgery, my daughter asked the nurse for more information as this was a new diagnosis for her( diverticulitis, bowel perforation). My daughter was alone, uneducated about this disease process, and in pain and all she asked was for her to please explain. Jokay's response was "didn't the doctor just tell you"! I am flabbergasted that this response was from any type of healthcare worker. So the story continues. My daughter's nurse on 2 north is Nadya, she lacks any type of bedside manner. She doesn't come back to the room with anything you ask for and when my daughter presses the light because the pump is beeping she acts like it is totally aggravating for her to do her job. My daughter is still in the clothes she came to the hospital with at 12:30am. No one thought to put this potential surgery patient in a gown or offer her anything. When the CXR staff were coming, I asked for a gown so my daughter could take off her bra to be prepared, Nadya acted like she had no clue. I honestly don't think they care about these reviews I DO NOT WANT HER TO BE MY DAUGHTER'S NURSE TOMORROW!!! I am embarrassed for these people to be a part of my profession and as a previous hospital administrator it should not be tolerated. Our patients are our first priority and if they forget what compassion is they need to find a new career. I will make sure I stop by administration to speak to Randy​ Surber or CNO. read more

I am pleased with the hospital and service , but avoid the cafe ; employees there are nice but food is way too overpriced and quality beyond bad, specifically the small portion of Thai chicken with broccoli\ /carrots I had 7/15/21 for which I was charged $8.42. Food looked like it was cooked twice , it was chewy and didn't taste like chicken at all; matter of fact it was mostly batter. Take a drive to any of the excellent restaurants in the area or to any fast food , it will be cheaper and better. read more

The compassion shown by the doctors and staff is unmatched. The first time I came for imaging was in 2015 and I was blown away by the care shown. Today going back for another round of imaging left me in tears. The empathy shown by Claudia in radiology gave me the boost I didn't know I needed. She shared with me personal experience and went out of her way to recommend videos and doctors to help me on my health journey. I am forever grateful read more

I'm thankful to Dr Shahnaz Punjani she took the challenge during the procedure to open my son's arteries that we're calcified and was able to put two stints to keep them open it took longer than normal (2hours) but she did it and with that she extended my son's life. The hospital staff was very attentive to our needs, I'm thankful that we found Dr Punjani. So far very good experience. read more

Absolutely avoid this place at all costs. My father needed a heart cath while on vacation. The cath doc here came out with a dooms day story, had him immediately transfered to winterhaven for emergency open heart. Get to the other hospital and the docs are scratching their heads going yes he needs a surgery but this is not emergency type scenario. One tells me we get 6 of these a week just like you an alleged "emergency". I would not take my dog to this place of idiots. Run like heck anywhere else but here if you love your family member. I had to have emergency surgery and they surgeon was fantastic, keep me updated on who/what/why. The staffing were all very concerned with my well-being and went out their way to make sure I was absolutely comfortable. They help me manage my pain and were very responsive whenever ever i paged them. The food staff always provided me with good meals and when the planned meal wasn't to my liking they let me order something else. . read more

This has been the absolute worse experience I have ever had in a ER. My wife was experiencing appendicitis symptoms. Five and a half hours later she is in worse shape than when we arrived. They drew blood, did an MIR, told her she had a serious infection, ordered an IV and was dehydrated. She has set in the waiting room for over five hours. They gave her no liquids or the antibiotic while we wait. I will never return to this facility. read more

Have been going here for years for medical scans, blood work, surgery, etc. Care is wonderful by nursing staff and doctors however even though you have a history of prompt insurance payment and you clear your bill immediately after insurance company pays they call you the day before the procedure and demand prepayment. Living nightmare! I had to have an emergency surgery after having my child, who came at around 6 weeks early. The nurse informed me that instead of an epidural, I needed a type of drug to delay my contractions, which when I arrived at the hospital I was already 8 centimeters dilated. I had my baby, she was healthy thank God. Then when they tried to remove the placenta, my stomach had already stopped contracting, due to the drug. They informed me that I would need emergency surgery. After waiting over 2 hours and telling the nurse that I felt a gushing feeling, which she told me it was probably urine, they finally took the baby from me and moved me to the surgery room. As I am getting ready for the surgery, I started feeling hot and terribly thirsty. Almost fainting I informed them. They then lifted the heavy blanket they had me covered up with. Lots of blood was falling off of the bed. My curtain was not closed, a man passed by with horror in his eyes as I was exposed with my legs apart and naked from the waist down. I had to get 2 transfusions and thankfully I lived. Afterwards, I asked several times for help with a shower because I was covered in dry blood from the back down to my feet, no one helped there either. I put in a formal complaint. All the man said who was over the liability department was I am sorry, I will retrain my staff. I haven't been the same since. Still have nightmares of that hospital. read more

Having an emergency, I arrived by my own transportation. I was taken to Emergency and could not stand well. I waited a very short time to be taken back to an area to see staff. Everyone was kind and helpful and I was experiencing some anxiety having passed out at home and after an xray learned break in ankle. Beds were full so I was in a hall in emergency. Frankly it was not bad at all as there was always someone near by and I was well cared for. Arrived at 10 a.m. By evening they did put a heart monitor on me as there were some signs of a problem. It was somewhat late, 8 pm and in the am learned of a problem that needed immediate attention. I saw doctors quite often and felt they were on top of the problem. The fact that the procedure probably saved my life that followed left me feeling quite grateful. I was then in ICU floor for a few days. Now the story changes a bit. There is a lack of personal care by many of the staff. Not the RN's, not the doctors. Some were rude, some were helpful and some just were not doing what they should have been doing. I imagine this is a problem everywhere. This is the only factor which made me drop to a 4 star. For a small hospital, I am so glad the procedure of getting a pace maker was one they did right there. I felt the doctors and nurses were very very good. Thank you. read more

I had some emergency cardiac issues and Advent Health Sebring, Fl was the closet hospital. I spent several days in hospital that included a heart procedure. The nursing staff was excellent, as well as some of the doctors. The main floor that you enter is very modern and is in stark contrast to the cardiac care rooms on the 4th floor. No hot water in the shower, mattress on bed was simply a old cotton filled mattress that was extremely uncomfortable, the phone for calling the nurse was simular to a toy telephone for a small child and did not consistently work. This phone only worked AFTER pressing the nurse call on bed controls and voice prompts on the bed controls stated to call a 4 digit number on the toy telephone. This poor communication system could be very detrimental for a patient in distress. Also, the toy telephone was not secured to the bed and many times it would fall on the floor due to patient movement in the bed. These patient room conditions remind me of hospital patient rooms from 3rd world countries and not what you would assume by the modern first floor that is visible to all. The doctor that did the procedure was excellent. The hospital cardiologist was OK, but in complete contradiction to my regular cardiologist, so I am left wondering which doctor's diagnosis is correct and which is not. read more

Went here as an emergency due to shortness of breath and high fever. It was only a 10 min wait to have vitals done and taken to a room. Room was clean but warm. After being stuck 6 times to find my vein, someone with proper phlebotomy skills finally got it right. That pissed me off! With idle chit chat going back and forth outside my door, they decided to send me home. The flu and bronchitis and I get tamiflu?!? A joke all because of insurance read more

BE WARNED: For perhaps the sixth or seventh time I had dealings with Florida Hospital in Sebring, I have been 'in collections' before my procedure was even done! The first was the worst. Patient responsibility was estimated at several thousand. I paid it. I owed ZERO. My insurance covered the surgery and the hospital stay. It didn't cover rehab, WHICH I would have had money to pay if Florida hospital was at all responsive to my request for a refund. So I don't pay, not anymore. I tell them I will, and I do, pay promptly after my insurance has settled. Their estimate is NEVER right and they can't even explain how they arrive at the amount. Today? "Well, ma'am, to avoid having to reschedule, we have to have at least XX dollars today!" So I said I'd reschedule ... at another facility! For the price of a week's groceries they will let an old woman go un-diagnosed, refuse her medical care ordered by her doctor, a woman WITH the best insurance my money can buy. I will write the Attorney General. If you have also been turned away because you refused to pay up front, I suggest you also write because I'm pretty sure it's highly illegal and it's definitely NOT CHRISTIAN! read more

We couldn't even understand their English nor could they understand us. Our friend was in so much pain and couldn't walk and the doctor forced her to stand on her own and climb into bed. The doctors acted like she was crazy for coming in when she was in immense pain. They drew her blood and left it on the counter for over a half hour unlabeled. She waited over an hour to get fluids. The nurses and staff were very rude and inattentive. They left supplies they used to draw blood on the bed until the patient threw it away. Not to mention seeing a bug crawl around on the floor....doesn't make me feel like it's a very sanitary place to be. Most of the doctors though thats another story, my personal doctor is great johnny on the spot but these other qacks ....This is my third time back in just a few days to make this short 5 different diagnosis all from a.kidney stone I was told "too big to pass on its own"(passed with home remedy in 2 days) heart failure, liver failure now I have a small amount of fluid on my right lung, nurse said id probably be in for another 3 to 10 days (had to have nurse explain since doctor is no where to be found) this was my third re admit with 12 days already in......... this is pathetic, I'll speak with my doctor in the morning if I get no resolution I'll ama, then I'll contact my attorney about these scare tactics they are using..
