We had to come to this hospital due to a specific setup by a doctor. This location is truly the worst place possible (location wise). Best for you to come by taxi - its up a hill and never would i have expected there to be a hospital up there. Secluded, quiet, just not the best for quick easy emergencies.
In all honesty the hospital does have a very 70s feel - the chairs in the lobby area, and the exterior of the building. It hasnt had a 21st century external make-over yet. But, they seem to conduct a lot of transplant surgeries and receive many patients.
We personally had issues with the bureaucratic procedures and what seems like poor document control. Additionally i note, that this is an Adventist hospital, therefore, on Saturdays it is free parking (making getting a taxi out of the hospital horrible). usually you can get a taxi, when they are dropping off a patient or visitor, but on Saturdays many come by car as it is free parking. Additionally, because of it being an Adventist hospital, some departments work only till 1pm on Friday. Which is something that does not make any sense to me. How on earth a hospital can have departments that do not work after Friday 1pm until monday morning. This is the department that handles the submissions and approval requests of the insurances. which then, holds up many many procedures. read more
