I've trusted Sara with multiple dogs over the years, and there is nobody I recommend more. Most recently, she played a huge role in saving a dog that was facing euthanasia. While I was in another state, she coordinated with the rescue, took him into her board-and-train program, worked with him every day, took him to multiple vet appointments to make sure everything was lined up for his flight to Hawaii, and even personally brought him to the airport when it was time for him to come home. What makes her special isn't just her skill as a trainer, it's how deeply she cares and how naturally she understands dogs. Every dog is different, and she has an incredible ability to read them, understand how they communicate, and adjust her approach to meet their individual needs. Her training methods are thoughtful, kind, and built on trust. She doesn't force dogs into a one-size-fits-all program; she takes the time to figure out what works best for each dog and helps them succeed in a way that builds confidence. Her dedication, compassion, and commitment gave this dog a second chance at life, and I'll always be grateful for everything she did. Finding a trainer like Sara is incredibly rare. We had been searching for someone who could actually work with Terra around other dogs in real-life situations, and thanks to a friend's recommendation, we got very lucky. One of the biggest things Sara gave us was a better understanding of Terra. Through her work with different dogs, we learned that many of Terra's reactions come from fear and uncertainty rather than aggression, and that her charges are often more bluff than intent. Seeing photos and updates from those sessions taught us so much about our dog. What felt even more incredible was joining a training session ourselves and watching Terra calmly walk near other dogs, stay quiet, ignore them, and even exchange a few polite sniffs. We honestly never thought we'd see that so soon. Sara's knowledge and ability to build confidence in both dogs and owners are truly special. She is the only one who really took the time to understand what's best for our pup and we never ever were worried leaving her with Sara. We would go on two week trips and feel confident that Hallie was loved, safe, cared for and having fun. She would send picture updates of her playing with other dogs, on walks, and just hanging out. Sara is hands-down the best trainer I could have asked for. After being kicked out of Petsmart's training program, and weeks of researching....I found Sara. My dog Scout struggled immensely with leash reactivity, and I felt hopeless about managing it.
