The K9 Inn - When we brought her in

    The K9 Inn

We used Platinum Dog Grooming from the time they opened and enjoyed them greatly. Unfortunately,…read morethey have been bought out by the K9 Inn. We brought our dog there on Aug 3rd, 2022, not knowing Platinum had been bought out. There was no sign of any price increases and they did not inform us of those increases at drop off time. With the old owners in charge, they would call us three, or sometimes four hours later to come pick up our dog. The new owners called a mere 1.5 hours later to pick up our German Shepherd and she didn't smell fresh like Platinum owners made her smell. They told me it would be a extra $10 for two squirts of fragrance. Fragrance? She should be cleaned properly so you don't have to put fluffy perfume cover-up on the dog. We declined the "cover-up" and asked for the total. The gentlemen asked me how much we paid before. I told him $50. He said it would be $55 as they had to raise prices. Ok, we accepted that, but barely two days later our inside dog smelled like she did when we brought her for the bath. Didn't understand why but we presumed that maybe because they had her out in one and a half hours versus three hours likely had something to do with it. So today, September 14, 2022, we tried again thinking last time they were new at the business and maybe they just had a bad day on August 3rd. When I picked our dog up this afternoon I asked what type of shampoo they used last time because she smelled two days later. The clerk said she'd check and came back to tell me they used a different type of shampoo on her today. It was time to pay and, of course, I thought it was $55 like last time. The lady then told me it would be $85. I'm sorry, what? For what? The clerk informed me, "We used the Dremel to do her nails". I replied I never asked for that service, so she removed the fee. Then she told me the new price was now $65. What? Why? "Because she is a big dog", said the clerk. I decided not to argue with her about $10, but to instead "vote with my feet" so I paid $65 but we will never return. Here's a suggestion. Why not tell everyone you, for the second time in as many months, have raised the prices! I departed for home but driving down the road, I had to drop the windows because our dog smelled like the perfume counter at the department store. I will be looking for another place for her to have a bathed. If you decide not to heed my warning and venture inside to have any kind of pet treatments performed, BUYERS BEWARE and make sure you pin K9 Inn down on the price before you drop off your four-legged family member.

I rescued him from a dog shelter, and I worried that he would feel abandoned once again, but after my first 1 on 1 training all my worries were put to rest. Merlin looked truly happy and seemed to really enjoy training with Wes, kind of like a good game of fetch. Watching Wes train Merlin, I could see the bond that was built in just one week. What I observed and loved about my experienced: * This training is filled with love and respect on both sides - dog and trainer. * Wes must love his job. He invests so much time into training each dog. Just like a schoolteacher, it must be a calling and he's not in it for the money. * He took time to explain all my questions and time to train me on how I can do better. I never felt like I was on a time clock. * Wes worked on my dog's individual needs, not just an expected obedience list. * After every session, I left uplifted and optimistic with the feeling that a non-reactive, well-behaved pup was in my future. Previous trainings that I tried, I would often leave the session feeling frustrated close to tears wondering if we would ever get it right. Sending my dog to K9 Justice has been the best decision and well worth every penny. If you are considering hiring a trainer, I highly recommend using K9 Justice.

I didn't have very high expectations because it was just 1 week of training, but boy was I wrong! Wes and Destiny are truly dog whisperers. They taught my pup to walk on a leash, come when called, lay down, stay and "break" -- all in just 1 week! Each day I would pick my pup up after training, they would spend about 10 minutes with me reviewing what they did that day and teaching me how to continue training at home. They are so knowledgeable and genuinely care about your pup. I had no doubt that I was leaving my pup in good hands with them. I will definitely be signing up for training sessions over Thanksgiving and Christmas when I'm in Toccoa.

We have 2 Mini-Australian Shepherds and one is very fear reactive as he was attacked on trails many times as a young puppy. We had other trainers tell us our male dog would never live a normal life and could never be around other dogs or children. Guiding Canines took the time to understand our dogs and create a meticulous training plan! They simulated real life situations since we had a baby on the way with noisy toys, crying dolls, strollers... the WORKS! We are so grateful for them! Our dogs did really well with the arrival of our son thanks to Guiding Canines! We stayed in contact with them and just moved to the East Coast. We were so excited to be near Guiding Canines again! They have taken care of our dogs and setup a follow-up training schedule while we get our house settled. They're extremely flexible but always keep the dogs best interest at the forefront. Recently, they helped facilitate a vet visit for one of our pups to get checked out. I highly recommend this team because they are truly phenomenal! We are forever grateful for them for allowing our dog to live a "normal life"!
