This bank has a terrible system. One time I took out too much money from the atm, realized I went…read morenegative by a dollar while I was still in the parking lot. Went to go and put the money right back in there and the machine froze with my card in it and would not accept my money. Then they made me pay insufficient fees because their machine broke. Yesterday they charged me for insufficient fees four times in a row. Today they did the same exact thing when I have not swiped my debit card on anything. This bank is terrible and make sure you read the fine print. I am switching banks and not paying those insufficient fees. I work hard for my money and they're trying to scam it all out of my account. I haven't gotten a day off of work but tomorrow I do and I will be telling them how messed up this b.s is. I didn't open an account there to have to visit them every week and ask them what's going on here. It's more of a hassle than it is convenient and it should not be that way. I would much rather carry cash around and record everything I spend in a check book than do all of this work to keep up with their b.s Please take my advice I don't write reviews for just no reason. Not only are the staff here SUPER nice, but they seem more genuine than almost every other bank I've ever been too. They ask questions and make conversation, but not so much that I feel they are being nosy, or if I were waiting in line I'd be annoyed, which, let's be honest, happens quite frequently. Many service workers will talk the SHIT out of a customer for whatever reason, leaving the line to swell and the anger to flourish. These tellers do NOT do that. Thank you! Also, I have the WORST memory when it comes to names, so I'm pretty positive that I have the name wrong, but the young lady with the glasses (Erin?) is ALWAYS super gregarious and legitimately brightens my day whenever I see her at the bank. While ALL of the tellers are amazing at this location, Erin stands above with a quiet ease that makes going to the bank (almost) enjoyable. Lastly, another person, whose name I do not recall, works behind the desk, and helped me out with my accounts. She remains nameless here, but her quick-acting talents are not forgotten. I was loyal to this bank for years. I never had online banking because I've liked going in person…read moreto do my banking. I have always trusted Flagstar to manage my money and let me know if anything seemed off. I had a checking account with a credit card and also a saving account. These two accounts were supposed to be separate and had been for years. every two weeks I would get my paycheck and go into Flagstar to make a payment on my credit card. On several different occasions the blond girl with glasses, (not emily), would charge me twice for my credit card instead of once. when she did this she would apologize and then take approximately 45 minutes of phone calls to figure out what to do. So then after I'm standing in the bank for over an hour I go home and intend to use my card but can't 4 days because my account is frozen because my incompetent anchor tried to put me on for two payments instead of one when I only had enough in my checking account for one. the first time this happened I was completely understandable I mean accidents happen. But this happened two more times before I ever even complained. I was already getting pretty frustrated with Flagstar and wanting to look for another bank. After my favorite Banker left and I was left with an incompetent one that I always seemed to be stuck with, I started to research other Banks. shortly after I decided it was time to find a new bank I visited my local Flagstar to per usual make my credit card payment. at this particular time of the year I was also looking to pull a couple hundred dollars out of my savings for Christmas shopping. when the banker told me that someone linked my accounts so it had been pulling out of my savings every time I swiped my debit card and told me that I had no money at all, I was confused upset and pissed off. before when I would try to use my debit card if I didn't have enough in my checking account it would decline and that was fine. nothing was ever supposed to touch my savings except for me. However what was happening was when I would swipe my debit card and I ran out of money in my checking account it started pulling out of my savings. I never authorized this change, I never made this change, and I was never even notified about the change or that my account was going in the negative. when I was upset and told them I didn't want to do banking with them anymore one of the employees decided to cuss at me at the top of her lungs through the phone. I still have not gone back or contacted anybody about this but now that I've had some time to cool off get a new bank save up some more money and think it through, I intend to expose Flagstar bankers as the rude, unprofessional, incompetent, nasty employees they are. Also, braces needs to stop picking her teeth in front of people... So gross.

Second to get in touch with the "business department " takes minimum of 30 minutes. I've been on hold for over an hour now. Most importantly I gave a drive through slip to the teller with my business account and they tell me it can take 10 days to clear which they definitely don't disclose opening the account with them. I was bummed and left, well she deposited it in my personal account... how is that even legal? All you get is a sorry for the bad experience . Good job at making banking a 5/3 worse!
