It definitely came a long way! When it comes to music Wonka Vision covers a lot of ground. If you skim through on the surface you'll primarily come across a lot of hardcore and punk rock (they definitely like Converge and Operation Ivy as much as I do) but if you actually read through you'll come across plenty of hip hop, rock, and fun bands like Polysics. and when they decide to take a break on music they decide to do random features on the likes of Todd McFarlane and Homestar Runner. and through it all they still find time to give it up for the locals. Wonka Vision is also about sweet deals and coolness. They hook up they're subscribers with bad ass record label exclusives (sometimes they even hook up graphic novel exclusives). and on top of all that Wonka Vision is a record label that features the likes of Philly's own Zolof The Rock & Roll Destroyer. It set the tone for the entire event. The first meal upon arrival was a meet & greet. Met lots of interesting people both participants as well as the presenters. I was eager to get started and experience everyone's area of expertise. The entire weekend was packed with fitness, fun, information, warm conversation, great meals and beautiful ocean views. I made some great connections that remain as friends today. These are definitely the best events to make friends, get your life back in a good direction, and gain some knowledge to maintain your health. I highly recommend these weekends. Good for the body and the soul.

Today was the last day of the first retreat I attended with Philly Fit. But it will not be my…read morelast. After one short weekend I made that I will have for a long time. We were all at different fitness levels, and ages and stages in life in general. The pacing of the day is perfect, the variety of the activities to lectures were perfect. Jami does a great job at planning something for everyone and making you feel comfortable and taking you slightly outside your comfort zone at the same time. I have been familiar with Philly Fit for years through the BASH and the Workout-athons but with the retreat I was able to connect in ways that exceeded my expectations.
