The Queen's Club was established in 1886. It was Britain's first multi-sport club. This historic club is owned by the members. This prestigious event is the first grass-court men's singles and doubles event event after Roland Garros and is a preparatory event for most players for Wimbledon. Most of the top men's players participate in this event except those still playing in Paris at Roland Garros. The grounds and the clubhouse are intimate, charming, and pristine. This is a first-class event but not as rigid as Wimbledon. The crowd wears their finery but your can pack a picnic and take a pitcher of Pimm's Cup to your seat to share with your mates. The venue has the Champions Restaurant were you can have refined dining experience with a three-course meal and a chilled bottle of Moet & Chandon. (You must make reservations in advance.) You can take the Tube from Baron's Court Underground Station on the Piccadilly and District lines. The Queen's Club is about a ten minute walk from the station. This is an outdoor event and there is always the possibility of rain in London. You can get more event information and tickets at ita.org.uk read more
